Furthermore, it is mighty curious that word of the Obama Administration “solving” Congress’ problem was suddenly leaked to a couple reporters at 9 p.m. — just hours before the release of Heritage’s report (embargoed copies of which had been given to the media).

I didn’t think the OPM could just do that.. citing ‘pressure’ from Capitol Hill. The valets at Congress could flood their lines posing as legislators, or even calling on their own behalf! and the OPM could just act on that? Another thread:

One of these days someone in that administration is going to make a mistake and actually do something right.
This could be seen as a change of subject for this thread but it’s in line with most everything else they get wrong in that administration.
I ran across this today in the obamacare Survival Guide and found it interesting. We’ve all gotten the emails about a 3.8% tax on sales of real estate that is spelled out in obamacare. Anyone getting them has (hopefully) checked it out for accuracy. They find the limits etc., when they do and find the email not entirely TRUE.
HOWEVER, something we haven’t been told is that Clinton signed a special homeowner’s exemption to the capital gains tax in the ‘90’s which remains in place today and neutralizes the obamacare tax in most cases!
Remember that the next time that same email reaches your inbox again. Send it back with the correct info and maybe we can stop the circulation of bad info.
Of course, even with this still valid exemption in place doesn’t preclude these crooks from ignoring it and going for the 3.8% tax....

True dat. They brag and boast about not reading the legislation before them, then they mock Sarah Palin et al for not being well read on the issues.
Exactly. So what if they can’t LEGALLY do this. They can ACTUALLY do it.
Laws are for the ruled, not the rulers. And yes, this is tryranny, plain and simple. But we won’t do anything about it. To be blunt, we can’t. They have all the power, they get 140+% voters in elections (re: Lt. Col. West), and nothing happens. Except if we speak up too loud, we get audited. Or worse.
It’s done, people. The only reason I feel kind of safe enough to risk posting anything like this is that I live in Texas, and we still (mostly) do that “rule of law” thing here. Example: Corrupt cops and officials get arrested by the Texas Rangers. Just happened recently. Again.
But I do realize that even this last bastion won’t hold out forever.

Silly writer. When will they realize Obama does whatever he feels like regarding the law. Including ignoring them completely. A compliant media facilitates it also.
