"Hasan said he grew the beard because his Muslim faith required it." He also said he committed mass murder at Fort Hood because his Muslim faith required it. That's why he never should have been allowed to defy Army regulations by growing his beard in the first place.

The Army psychiatrist sentenced to death for the Fort Hood shooting rampage has been forcibly shaved, an Army spokesman said Tuesday.Maj. Nidal Hasan began growing a beard in the years after the November 2009 shooting that left 13 dead and 30 wounded. The beard prompted delays to his court-martial because it violated Army grooming regulations. He was convicted of all charges last month at his court-martial at the Central Texas Army post and sentenced to death.
Now, Hasan is an inmate at the U.S. Detention Barracks at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., home to the military death row. Lt. Col. S. Justin Platt, an Army spokesman, said in a statement Tuesday that Hasan had been shaved. He did not specify when or provide details, however.
Officials at Fort Leavenworth previously had said Hasan would be subject to Army regulations.

Here’s the thing. Unless some judge steps in to stop this...they will likely have to shave the guy at least three times a week, for the next five years (until all the review episodes are done and he’s executed). Every single time....he will be strapped down, and treated this way. And even the day prior to execution....he’ll likely be shaved.
To become a Muslim, you must change your name, grow a beard, learn Arabic, and kill someone. Preferably an infidel, because although all men are brothers under Allah, infidels are for killing practice. Allah loves a good killer. This is my bomb, there are many like it but this one is mine. It’s like Allah says “I don’t like those infidels, please please kill them for me”. So we say “OK Allah, I kill them for you”. “Oh thank you thank you” says Allah. “I have some virgins here, you want”? “Thank you Allah, when can I have them”? “A little bit later, I don’t have them right ‘now’. You do more killing first, I bring lots back”.
Hope he doesn’t get any pork products put into his cell, his pillow, his laundry, his shampoo, etc. What if someone accidentally threw pig blood on him? It could happen.
All they have to do is grab his arms and torso as he paralyzed from the waist down due to the bullet hitting him in the lower back/spine. He will expire from natural causes since he is in terrible physical condition. Had he not received a full personal medical staff, he probably would have already died.
Heck, I’m not presentable unless I shave daily.

I feel sorry for the people who have to wash & diaper him.
I hope they are force feeding him pork, too.
Leave a rope in his cell and maybe he can find a way to use it like Ariel Castro did. Or maybe just leave a straight razor so he can shave himself.

The article refers to Hasan as “Major Hasan.” I thought that once he was found guilty he was reduced in rank to “Private” and dishonorably discharged. Am I wrong about that?
He’s no longer a major.

I suggest they just burn it off three times a week. Just use an oxy-acetylene "razor".
