Texas National Guard denies benefits for same-sex spouses

The Texas National Guard has said it will not provide benefits for same-sex couples, despite a Pentagon directive requiring the military to treat all marriages equally.

Maj. Gen. John Nichols, the commanding general of Texas Military Forces, said in an internal memo that the Texas Constitution and the state’s “Family Code” conflicts with the Defense Department’s policy, which Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel announced in August.

Let's see how quick Eric Holder orders the Texas National Guard to recognize sodomite "marriage", even though the National Guard comes under the jurisdiction of the state Governor, unless it's activated for a federal emergency. If Holder orders it, hopefully the Texas Attorney General and Rick Perry will tell him where to stick it.

There will eventually be a federal judge overseeing the entire Texas National Guard.

Proud my state of Texas is taking a stand. Texas is proving again it’s worth fighting and dying for.

Can’t say as much for America as a whole, though, as much of it succumbs to the degeneracy of homo-fascism, from the federal governmnet to Obama-voting blue states. Any government, state or federal, that equates two homos as a man-and-wife, can frankly go burn in blazes.

There is no reason why they should offer them. The National Guard is under the authority of the state governor unless called into active service. They should comply with state law.

Yes, there is much about Texas to be proud of, especially in comparison to many blue states.

But eventually mass immigration is going to turn Texas into a battleground state. I don’t think Texas will go the way of California since white Texans are largely a conservative group, but eventually 70+% of the white vote won’t be enough to allow the GOP to dominate the state like it has for almost 20 years now. And if Texas has a lot of whites from blue states moving in, then they’ll probably bring their politics with them and that 70+% of the white vote that the GOP usually gets will probably start to drop.

Hispanics in Texas may not be as liberal as they are in other states, but they are liberal, and still vote overwhelmingly Democrat almost all the time. Current mass legal immigration is bad enough, but if something like Schumer-Rubio passes then the flow of future Democrats into Texas will only increase.

As far as gay marriage goes, Anthony Kennedy has made his intentions clear. As soon as he gets the opportunity he will cast the deciding vote to impose gay marriage on the entire nation (seeing this, John Roberts will probably join and make it a 6-3 decision). When this happens, Texas will meekly accept it just like every other state, because the nation has been taught to accept judicial supremacy, and we accept it we have.

“How do they prove they’re gay”?

Here’s what makes this entire homosexual “marriage” such a joke. In the military or out of the military say you have two drinking buddies who have been married before, and have no intention of getting married again. But they would like extra bennies that go with being married. In the military that includes basic allowance for quarters and basic allowance for subsistance, at least that’s what it was called when I was in. In otherwords married people make money than single people.

Well these two drinking buddies decide to “get married”. They have an apartment together, or maybe not, but that extra money starts flowing in and they split it, laughing all the way to the bank. Now extra money to party and try to pick up women with. Yous see my point? If marriage is not a man and woman, it is nothing. Same sex “marriage” will cost the US military millions of dollars in fraud cases. And the same is true for any civilian company that gives extra benefits to marriage people. It’s lunacy.

Hah, love it. Let’s count the seconds before Eric Holder is breathing down Texas’ neck.

Texas Attorney General, Greg Abbott, routinely tells Hussein and Holder to “stick it”. Abbott, in humor, said he goes to work, files cases against the federal government all day, and goes home. He will not be obedient and accept whatever the federal govn. wants to do against Texas.

His partner in filing against the federal government, was attorney Ted Cruz whom he appointed, and Cruz is now our US senator. Cruz went to the US Supreme court over and over for the State of Texas.

If Holder comes after Texas for not catering to homosexual marriage, you can bet Abbott will go ballistic and fight Hussein/Holder again.

:-)

I just pray for alertness, need I say, courage? on the part of our elected representatives, local, state and federal.
The voter fraud business needs to be fixed; the GOPs have had plenty of time (at least 3 national elections) to do something about it. They have not. Houston is one big culprit; Dallas is another.

“But eventually mass immigration is going to turn Texas into a battleground state.”

Actually, that isn't true. I just read a report yesterday about that and our State Republican Party is growing at a more than average rate and it's the Hispanics who are making that difference. The Democrat Party is not growing even though the Democrats at the federal level are pouring millions into Texas to try to bring about that change of which you speak.

Our state party has made an effort to go face to face with Latinos and they are responding by becoming Republicans and candidates for our party.

Another effort the state party is doing, is opening year round Republican offices in Latino areas. This is genius since I have seen this happen before as we did it in the county where I was. We opened a Republican office and people came. There was no Democrat office and their numbers kept going down. We turned that county into a Republican County.

Our State Party Chairman, Steve Munisteri, has been pulling in money from all over the state and the party has money to make these efforts to reach the Latinos. Latinos in Texas are not for homosexual marriage but they are for working, being independent, and making Texas better which means they will have better lives. These Latinos are becoming Republican every day.

So, I reject these posts that say Texas will become a battle ground or blue - it isn't going to happen and we are working to make sure it doesn't happen.

I don’t know where you live but if you live in Texas, maybe you should move because you don’t know much about Texas.

We have a state law against homosexual marriage and its in our Texas constitution that marriage is between a man and a woman.

Texas has never meekly accepted anything, including the Mexican Army with Santa Anna whose butt we kicked back to Mexico.

The Chicago way is to find dirt on Abbot, tame him (blackmail), and have him do their bidding. What would they find? Don't know but that is one of the reasons NSA listens to everybody.
