Robinson allegedly stole three vehicles in a pre-dawn crime spree that ended with his death inside a residential garage in the 9000 block of North Garfield Avenue in Kansas City, North. He allegedly fought with the homeowner, who killed him with two shotgun blasts after Robinson stole keys and tried to drive off in the familys vehicle.
The homeowners wife held their child and hid in a closet while calling 911 after Robinson broke into their home, police said.

Robinsons father knew a different side of his son, who had a 9-year-old daughter.
He was a good kid. He would help anybody, his father said. But the drug problem got the best of him.
Charles Robinson said he understood the homeowners need to protect himself, but he wondered why the homeowner fired a second round at his son, who he believes was unarmed. He said his son was shot in the side.
I could see him shooting out of fear with the first shot, Charles Robinson said. But that second shot, thats between him and God.
“......But “he was a good kid”.......
NOW he is a “good kid” and will do no more drugs, burglaries, assaults, robberies, etc., you know the drill.
Mr. Robinson, the homeowner is not the issue, your sons actions were. No excuses please.
All these good kids seem to be causing alot of trouble. Sure glad we never seem to have to deal with the really bad ones.
“at least” 28 arrests since 2002.

The comments you see on stories are heartening. There are a lot more people out there who think like FReepers than you might think.
The homeowner obviously misread the memo. Shotgon Joe Biden said two shotgun blasts into the air, not into the suspect.
The epitaph of so many of these scumbags: “He was a good kid but...”
They were warning shots. Robinson just got in the way.
Kansas City, Kan., police had arrested Christopher Robinson at least 28 times since 2002. He was accused of crimes that included aggravated assault, criminal damage to property, resisting arrest and battery of a law enforcement officer.
From the picture slide show. It appears they are showing a much younger picture in the header. Or is this someone other than the perp?
One for his wife and the other one for their child. Besides, this way, it's over and done with. No lengthy trial, medical costs, incarceration, a win win all the way around.
Mr. Robinson, your son's first arrest? Maybe he made a 'mistake.' But the next 27 or so, those are between him and God, too.
I wonder if Mr. Robinson would feel the same way if some thug broke into his home to steal from him....
BTW...the homeowner fired the second shot to make your dirtbag son was not going anywhere else to rob and steal..
“But that second shot, thats between him and God.
God: “Nice shot.
With my 18.5 inch 12 gauge pump he would have gotten 6 rounds.
Another bonus is that the father no longer has to worry about his son getting in trouble again. At least in this world.

No, that is what any reasonable person should have done. Make sure the the mad dog feral beast was dead. Your son will have to deal with God
28 arrests, but he was a good kid
But not any more...
“NOW he is a good kid and will do no more drugs, burglaries, assaults, robberies, etc., you know the drill.”
Yep, that pretty much sums it up
Same guy - I saw a pic like that in another article.
Charles Robinson said he understood the homeowners need to protect himself, but he wondered why the homeowner fired a second round at his son, who he believes was unarmed. He said his son was shot in the side.Well, one thing is sure, he's unarmed now. And, he's no longer troubled by the scourge of addiction.

Scary is that many law enforcement and politicians think the homeowner defending himself and his family...is the criminal
Good shot. Criminals dying in the commission of crime is good for everyone
They must have been as you said. The paper deleted them all and disabled any new comments.
Too much truth is a dangerous thing, especially for the KC Star
Yes, I understand that about this case. But in general, in cases like this, there are a lot of “us” out there.
People are really fed up with this stuff, and when unconstrained by Political Correctness, really let fly.

Thanks for the link. That was an enjoyable read.
Another justice served to the public on a slab. Good riddance.
Christopher Robinson, 30. Gone to Pooh.
six is plenty for the shotgun. then 15 9mm follow that and 15 more right behind that.
You can never have enough 12 gauge slugs alternating with 00 buckshot to pile them up higher and deeper. There’s a reason the German’s didn’t like us using shotguns in WW I.
I know but for home defense I like my system. If it takes more than six buckshot I do have the 9mm with 1 in chamber and 15 in mag and a second 15 round mag ready to spin. My abilities with all my weapons in close quarters are more than efficient. Don’t need no fancy Bulldog type shotgun.
