I have long thought that the best thing the U.S. could do in the Middle East is to just back off and let those people slaughter themselves as they have been doing for thousands of years.
That would save us the trouble of having to do it ourselves later.

But theres a solution to this puzzle. Some have suggested the solution is: dont bomb Assad. Those people are spineless and unprincipled. The obvious solution is simple: bomb both sides. LOL - it almost works...

While I agree in principle, the Law of Parsimonious Action calls for sitting by and doing nothing, so long as they are doing an adequate job of bombing each other.
