A Red Lobster waitress says that two customers failed to leave even a penny as tip on a $45 meal but left their two cents about her skin color.
Toni Christina Jenkins, 19, says when she returned to the table after dropping off the receipt, it read, "Tip . . . . . none. Total . . . N----r."
"We are extremely distraught about this and doing a complete investigation," Red Lobster spokesman Mike Berstein told the Daily News.

Usually tolerable, but in view of the OVERWHELMING propensity of urban patrons to demand VERY much while often tipping NOTHING, I find this fakery intolerable.

Not an expert, but it does appear to be two different hand-writings, but some people have a way of writing their signature, distinct from other writing.

Aside from that, I don’t see a crime here at all whatsoever. What is the crime? Being rude? Ever not tip a lousy waitress?
Restaraunt better be careful or that customer may end up owning that place.
Why call fraud? I find it a bit weak to write the N-word on the receipt. Personally, I take the opportunity tell the waitstaff the reason why they don't get a tip. And yes, I have told a waitress that it was because she acted like a N-gg-r.
I pay with a card and tip in cash.. if they don’t report it, more power to um...

I always put in 0 for tip (because there is cash on the table or given to the waitress/waiter) and the carry the total down though.

Plus, I was at Walmart for work today in a part of town you don’t go to after dark and all the people of color where calling each other that. Even yelling it across the store.

If this is real, the customer signed a credit card receipt, so identity would be known.
Thus it could be determined if a hoax or not very easily.

It was certainly rude and in very bad taste but a “complete investigation?” It was a tip, the customer is in charge of giving a tip...... or not.
Somehow racism has been redefined so that if you don’t like someone who is black you are a racist. If you disagree with someone who is black you are a racist.
I do not like Dennis Rodman. I disagree with Jesse Jackson. If that makes me a racist under the new definition, then so be it.
