Atlanta, GA – Record cold for third straight day
Ice Age Now.info ^ | 13SEP2013 | Sonia Moghe

For the third straight day, high temperatures in Atlanta are breaking records for how low they are.

Saturday’s high was 66 degrees as against the normal high in the upper 80s.

The temperatures put a chill over, “It’s kind of a freak of nature that it’s even cold – it’s August and we’re wearing jeans and coats, and it’s very weird,” said Regan Koski, event manager for Decatur’s Blues, Barbecue and Bluegrass Festival.

“I’m from Atlanta, and I still can’t believe this weather. It’s crazy,” Wynn said. “I would expect this in November. Not in August. Not in Atlanta.”

Thursday had the coldest high temperature on record since 1908, when the high was only 77 degrees.

Al Gore never counted on the good Lord telling the sun to clear its spots.

Ha! I love to make the joke.

Unfortunately, the sad punch line is these losers are running the joint.

A mini-ice age is evolving.

I'm beginning to think that Al Gore was WRONG about global warming! /s

If you don’t want it, please send your cooler weather here. I am getting sick of 98+ every day. The Texas summer is so just remind us how good we got it in the Winter.

That’s not a related story; it’s the same one. The brief cold spell was a month ago. We hit 84 today.

Y’all Georgians can send all the extra cool air you can spare to North Texas. Thanks in advance.

We in the Houston area were wondering who stole our rain this year. Please send it back as soon as possible - no questions asked.

You too? Us DFW folks have been wondering who stole our rain. We're dry as a bone up here.

Couldn’t be cool enough. Bring it.
From Ft. Lauderdale.

Hope it gets down to at least the 40s this winter.

Uh I don’t know what they are talking about but in my area of Atlanta yesterday it was about 86 degrees and low humidity so you didn’t feel it so bad. Thursday was near 90 degrees. Cool this morning but up to 79 expected today. Very nice so far this morning. It has been a cool very wet summer for us though as compared to the normal temps.

I love Texas.

8 months out of the year is heaven.

4 months out of the year is hell.

3/4 of the time heaven, I will take it.

Beats being overtaxed and disarmed 100% of the time in the Northeast.

I love Texas.

I do too. I'm originally from coastal California, but as bad as I miss that mild weather, I wouldn't trade it for the hottest, dustiest day in the Great State of Texas.
