Eleven people, including a 3-year-old child, were injured late Thursday when someone opened fire on people in a park located in Chicago's Back of the Yards neighborhood.
Chicago Fire Department officials said the child was in critical condition. Two other victims were also in critical condition, officials said.
Officer Amina Greer said the shooting occurred shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday. According to Greer, at least 10 ambulances responded to the scene, transporting victims to several area hospitals.
A witness, Julian Harris, told the Chicago Sun-Times that dreadlocked men fired at him from a gray sedan before turning toward Cornell Square Park and firing at people in the area. He said his 3-year-old nephew was wounded in the cheek.

Hmmmm,, im going to guess gang shooting with a shotgun using some sort of birdshot? This just seems to have the “oh look, it happened again” feel to it.
Everyone who caught a BB is “shot”. Again, just a hunch.
Except that 3 are supposedly in critical condition, which would seem to rule out birdshot.
Because these people don’t work. They sleep all day and come out at night like cockroaches, and so begins their “day.” Restaurants and stores are open all night in these thug neighborhoods, and it’s daytime business as usual, but at night. Like one Chicago cop once said, just put some yellow tape around these neighborhoods and let them kill each other off. You’re never going to change them, civilize them, make them productive members of the human race, ‘cause they like the life they have. And it’s been going on for years.....
