House Republicans say they’ll act on immigration reform this year
WaPo ^ | 9/22/2013 | David Nakamura

House Republicans intensified their outreach to Latino groups last week, offering renewed pledges that the House will deal with immigration reform this year. The effort has revived hope among advocates that a bipartisan deal can be reached to address the fate of the nation’s 11 million undocumented workers and students.

The chances of a comprehensive deal passing Congress remain doubtful, advocates cautioned, and they worry that the legislative process will spill into 2014, presenting new complications in a year when lawmakers face reelection battles.

But they were encouraged by signals from key GOP leaders that the House is willing to move forward on legislation that could produce a breakthrough in the stalled negotiations.

Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) said Thursday that his panel is working on four new pieces of legislation dealing with border-control laws. He did not disclose details but emphasized the need to resolve the status of people living in the country illegally.

“We want to do immigration reform right,” Goodlatte told about 70 Hispanic leaders during a roundtable discussion on Capitol Hill, adding that he hopes the House can begin considering bills next month.

His remarks boosted the spirits of advocates who have become increasingly fretful that Republicans have been dragging out the process in an effort to kill momentum for a deal.

Why do we need new immigration laws when they don't enforce the ones currently on the books?

The feral government will do whatever it pleases. No laws required.

“We want to do immigration reform right,” Goodlatte

I agree.

1) Make the border impenetrable.

2) Arrest and deport lawbreakers.

3) Change immigration law so the best possible people (read: entrepreneurs) are placed at the front of the line.

That's "Immigration Reform Done Right!"

The house is acting foolishly and once again saving democrats from their own stupidity and duplicity.

They should not do anything other than tell Obama snd Harry Reid they are waiting for the Senate to send their bill to the house for action.

That will kill the bill because it is unconstitutional.

It is unconstitutional because it raises revenues and originated in the Senate instead of the House.

GOP Reps: Senate Immigration Bill Unconstitutional for Raising Revenues

Language in the U.S. Constitution requires any bill that raises revenue, also known as a tax, must originate in the House of Representatives, not the Senate. America’s founders included that language because they believed the House was more accountable to the people of the country than the Senate, which was elected at that time by state legislators rather than through a direct vote. That clause of the Constitution is called the “origination clause” and reads as such: “All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives.”

When such a revenue-raising bill comes out of the Senate, the Speaker of the House, currently Rep. John Boehner (R-OH), can use a procedure called a “blue slip resolution” to automatically kill it on the grounds that it is unconstitutional. Stockman has been promising to attempt to kill the Senate's bill that way and, as such, Reid has refused to send it to the House, thereby protecting the bill from being “blue slipped.” The term “blue slip,” Stockman’s office noted in a release, comes from the blue color of the paper on which a resolution is printed that returns a Senate bill back to the Senate in these situations.

“Even Harry Reid now admits the Senate’s amnesty bill is unconstitutional and cannot become law,” Stockman said in a Wednesday evening statement. “Any bill that raises revenue must start in the House. By creating their own amnesty taxes Senate Democrats broke the rules. Senate Democrats were so hell-bent on ramming through a gift to radical political activists they didn’t bother to check if it was even legal.”

“They got caught trying to sneak an illegal bill past the Constitution’s borders,” Stockman added.

Okay---say a few thousand sneak across the US border "for a better life." That would engender an "amnesty" discussion....and most Americans would be amenable to that.

But----when tens of millions of illegals are brazenly violating our sovereign borders, financing pressure groups, lobbyists, legal groups, etc...and are dues-paying members of organizations marching in our streets brazenly DEMANDING govt handouts, and radical changes in our laws, with plans to takeover the Southwest.....THAT IS AN INVASION.

Let's call it what it is.

===============================================

CAN YOU GUESS WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF 30-Million Plus Armed Americans paraded into the Sovereign Nation of Mexico and diligently began to:

<><> 1. Mine their precious metals (Gold, Silver, Tin, etc.).

<><>2. Fish their Seas.

<><> 3. Farm their Lands.

<><> 4. Harvest their Forests.

<><> 5. Pump out billions of their vast stores of Oil.

<><> 6. Demand rights and privileges.

<><> 7. Refuse to obey Mexican laws.

<><> 8. Demand exemptions from the consequences of law-breaking.

<><> 9. Send all they can get their hands on back home.

<><> 10. Stealthily hollow out the country's resources from within.

Unless we are willing to kill border crossers, their desire to live here will overcome any other risk in border crossing.

Is America ready to do that?

If not, it’s intractable.

AMNESTY IS ONLY THE BEGINNING ACCORDING TO THIS LATINO CONGRESSMAN : "Once Congress approves an immigration increase, minorities should demand more, said Rep. Luis Gutierrez (Dem-Chicago), a leading advocate of the (now defunct) Senate bill.

“The next day after we pass it, you know we’re not going to be satisfied, we’re going to come back,” he said. “We’re going to have a civil rights act, we’re going to have a voting rights act… Nobody is leaving this fight once we conclude this first chapter,” he said. "Hopefully, in 30 years, [we] can bring immigrants… from all over the world,” Gutierrez said.

===================================================

US TXPAYERS DEMAND AN IMMEDIATE THOROUGH INVESTIGATION OF GUTTIEREZ. US citizens demand need to know the answers to these questions.

<><> Who is Gutierrez?

<><> Did he get into Congress using voter fraud? Illegals voting w/ multiple identities?

<><> How many identities did Gutierrez ever use?

<><> Does he have a rap sheet here? In Mexico? Elsewhere?

<><> Does he now or did he ever receive welfare, food stamps, SSI, free medical care, Section 8 housing, UI, Workmen's comp under several identities?

<><> Did he ever apply for, and receive, monthly SS checks, claiming "asylum?"

<><> Does he have a sub-prime mortgage obtained w/ the help of The Hispanic Caucus on Capitol Hill?

<><> Did Gutierrez ever make false claims on IRS forms in order to get EITC refunds?

<><> Does Gutierrez---a former cab driver---have a legal driver's license?

<><> Does he have a valid passport?

<><> How many times did Gutierrez wire-transfer money back to Mexico? The Third World?

<><> How often does he travel to Mexico? The Third World?

<><> Is he registered to vote under several identities?

<><> Does he belong to radical America-hating organizations planning armed conflict to takeover the American Southwest?

<><> Do his kids now or did they ever get in-state tuition--free school lunches--welfare--- food stamps-free healthcare---SSI/ADD checks.

<><> Does Gutierrez know how much money is being drained from the US economy---wired back to secret Mexican bank accounts?

<><> Does his retirement include SS checks for multiple when all his identities?

<><> Did Gutierrez ever use his Congressional office to coach illegals on using multiple identities to get tax dollars?

<><> Did Gutierrez ever use his Congressional office to help illegals SWINDLE THE US GOVT?

=================================================

DID GUTIERREZ USE HIS CONGRESSIONAL OFFICE TO HELP ILLEGALS OBTAIN FRAUDULENT MORTGAGES? MORTGAGES THAT DEVSTATED THE US ECONOMY? THAT US TAXPAYERS WERE FORCED TO BAILOUT? Read on.

MASSIVE MORTGAGE FRAUD ON CAPITOL HILL FACILITATED W/ OUR TAX DOLLARS :

The Congressional Hispanic Institute, Inc, is an entity organized by Cong Joe Baca (D-Cali) in his capacity as head of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.

Cong Baca created "HOGAR" (Spanish for home) in 2003 to work with the mortgage industry, F/M, lenders, banks and latino community groups to increase mortgage lending to what savvy observers consider to be unqualified Latinos.

"HOGAR" colluded w/ Cong Baca in what was to become a massive bilking of taxpayers. Cong Baca calculatedly hyped the fact that the national Latino homeownership rate was 47%, compared with 68% for the overall population.

HOGAR was coached to call the figure "alarming," and to say "a concerted effort was required to ensure that by the end of the decade Latinos will share equally in the American Dream of home ownership."

HOGAR and Cong Baca conned the public, failing to note that most of the "dreamers" were illegals, citizens of Third World countries who had violated US borders.

Predictably, HOGAR colluded w/ co-conspirators which included:

(a) shaky mortgage companies that ran into big trouble;

(b) Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, both now under federal control after billions in taxpayer bailouts;

(c) Countrywide Financial Corp., sold to Bank of America Corp;

(d) Washington Mutual Inc., taken over by the US government and sold to J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.; and,

(e) New Century Financial Corp. and Ameriquest Mortgage Corp, both now defunct, killed by defaulted subprime Latino mortgages.

HOGAR's ties to the subprime mortgage industry were substantial. Bribery and self-dealing were rampant:

<><> Companies that donated $150,000 to Cong Baca got the right to have their own research fellow who would conduct fraudulent studies, which were cunningly used by industry lobbyists to pump lending.

<><> Bribery and extortion in the form of $100,000 annual donations to Cong Baca, for which HOGAR provided phony news releases from Cong Baca's Hispanic Caucus promoting a lender's commercial products to the Latino market,

<><> The most shocking example of bribery well- substantitated by Hogar's literature..... HOGAR announced it worked with Freddie Mac on a self-serving two-year examination of Latino homeownership in 63 congressional districts.

The "study" found Hispanic ownership on the rise thanks to "new flexible mortgage loan products" that the industry was adopting at the urging of Cong Baca's collusive coterie.

<><> HOGAR conned lenders into even more lenient down-payment and underwriting standards.

<><> As the subprime debacle unfolded, HOGAR declined repeated requests for comment despite the economic havoc their activities precipitated.

The mortgage schemes demonstrated the criminal activities of border violators with multiple identities---perhaps violent, terrorist-connected foreigners---colluding and conspiring to defraud private companies and public entities. And mortgage racketeering enterprises which employed sub rosa finance and business practices to carry out deceptions and frauds.

The alleged ring of swindlers---a Congresman, individuals with multiple identities, banks, insurance companies, mortgage brokers--might be charged with cheating the US govt, taxpayers and bank share holders out of hundreds of millions of dollars via an elaborate web of mortgage and bank frauds.

The mortgage Dreamers used multiple phony identities, fraudulent Social Security numbers, purchased from identity forgers in order to obtain govt-subsidized benefits.

L/E will find that individuals with multiple identities obtained fraudulent mortgages then flipped the houses at ever-higher prices to family member who then absconded to foreign countries, sticking banks (and taxpayers) with hundreds of millions in fraudulent mortgages.

BACKGROUND A Wall Street Journal investigative report related that, according to the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council examination of the borrowing spree, uncovered financial schemes by low-income housing groups, Hispanic lawmakers, a congressional Hispanic housing initiative, mortgage lenders and brokers, all colluding in fraduent schemes to increase homeownership among Latinos with forged documents which enabled massive fraud.

This was not simply the mortgage market at work. It was fueled by avarice, greed, and Congressional enabling fraudulent practices. In 2005 alone, mortgages to Hispanics jumped by 29%; Latinos with multiple fraudulent identities in low-paying jobs obtained subprime mortgages for prime properties---soaring to 169%.

(Research provided by Wall Street Journal. Some material excerpted from the NY Times).

I don't think we should ignore the motives of Republican consultants advising Congressional members here- consultants (especially those who are never held accountable for losses) would love to have as many "purple" districts and states across the land as possible. Why? Because it creates more of a "need"... for consultants to "help" with their expensive advice.

The GOP should propose this as an opening offer: a green card and path to citizenship for every valedictorian in return for a fast track to deportation for every drug mule. It doesn't have to be those exact words, just the similar idea that the most desirable will get amnesty in return for the deportation of the least desirable. The deportations and border security need to come before amnesty. Last time, we gave real amnesty in return for promises of actual border security. This time, we need demonstrated border security and deportations of undesirables in return for promises of amnesty.

The Brown KKK lobby will then scream loud enough to send the GOP plan into retreat for at least another year. The unstated policy of the open borders lobby is that you can't deport anyone.

“All that is needed is to repeal three immigration laws—anchor baby citizenship, chain migration and the immigration lottery—and to vigorously enforce the remainder.”

And one other thing — the House GOP can restore funding for the 700 mile border fence that was passed in 2006 and is now the LAW OF THE LAND. The reason we don’t have it is that in 2007 when Dems got control of the House, they DEFUNDED IT!!

The pussys running the House GOP leadership have had control now since 2011, and have never made one move toward restoring this funding. Yet they talk about passing new immigration laws and stronger border enforcement, blah blah blah. Before anything else gets passed, we need to demand that they fund what’s already on the books. If they are not willing to do that, then we know they are not serious about this issue.
