Victory Over Obamacare: How To Embarrass The Democrats Into Funding The Government
Forbes ^ | October 4, 2013 | Peter Ferrara

Posted on 10/04/2013 11:03:01 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Those of you who are supposedly outraged or indignant over the partial government shutdown, or have friends or neighbors who are outraged or indignant, I can tell you all how YOU can fix it. All you have to do is tell pollsters who call that you think Obama and the Democrats are responsible for the shutdown. As soon as that hits the papers, the shutdown will be over before the end of the day.

That is because it is Obama and the Democrats who shut down the government, because they are so certain that the Republicans will be blamed for it. And that ploy is part of the quixotic quest of Obama and the Democrats to manipulate the public to take back majority control of the House in the President’s second mid-term. Quixotic because that is unprecedented in American politics, and is never going to happen.

House Republicans sent over to the Democrat majority Senate three Continuing Resolutions (CRs) to fund the government. The Senate Democrat majority shot each one down on a unanimous straight party line vote. Every supposed Senate Democrat moderate marched in goose step with the liberal/left party line. Even supposed maverick Joe Manchin of West Virginia, from a state being crucified by the party liberals, voted with the Senate Democrat majority to shut down the government.

Senator Heidi Heitkamp won her race in North Dakota last year by 1% running as a supposed moderate Democrat. The people of her state overwhelmingly oppose Obamacare. But Heitkamp, like Manchin, would rather shut down the government than compromise over Obamacare.....

You are right, I haven’t read a paper in years. I get the Sunday edition for the coupons, the rest goes into the local recycle bin.

Obama and the Democrats have been misreading the polls. A majority of Americans may blame Republicans for the "shutdown", but that majority includes both (a) Democrats who opposed the "shutdown" and (b) tea partiers who support the furloughing of 800,000 bureaucrats.

The Democrats have been slow to recognize that a huge chunk of the American public welcomes the opportunity to "rough it" without "help" from the federal government. The only thing people miss much are the nationalized parklands and historic buildings, and by rendering them as inaccessible as possible in a sadistic attempt to inflict maximum pain on anyone who stands in their way (including WW2 Vets), the Obama Administration is just ticking almost everyone off.

As the "shutdown" continues the federal workers are going to get increasingly nervous about what Obama and Harry Reid have been doing to their chances of ever feeling secure about their jobs/hours/health benefits again.

There’s no such thing as a moderate Democrat. In the end they vote the party line and don’t challenge Reid or Pelosi.

Look...folks....Obamacare is a failure!!! The lower level plans with acceptable monthly premiums have no real or meaningful medical, drug & hospital coverage when applied. The higher “Gold Plans” with better coverage are priced out-of-sight for low, middle income folks and young people!!! This Obamacare is a scam ready to hatch. It, however, will fail miserably from the getgo!!! And....of course, because there is no Democrat in the entire country that knows how to run a business, the supporting system, that Obama & his Democrat Party had three years to get up-to-speed, has not worked properly atall week, its first week in operation!!! Defund Obamacare, now!!!

Only morons still read the, "papers".

My dad still reads the paper every morning. He's 90 and a WWII vet .... served as a med tech, patching up the wounded from the Pacific theater. My mom reads it, too .... she's 80. Most of their friends read the papers, as well.

According to the article, the House usually sends 12-14 individual CRs to the Senate. Why isn’t the House following regular order?

They should pass Defense, Interior, State, etc. Then drop 0bamacare funding from Treasury and HHS and OPM, and seek to negotiate these alone, or better yet, let them stall in the Senate.

“There’s no such thing as a moderate Democrat. In the end they vote the party line”.......

Seems Hitler had much of the same type success getting his people to march in unison to his directives. The people either did as directed or it was off the gas chambers. I see very little difference with the demodummies.

“would rather shut down the government than compromise over Obamacare.....”

This is the issue. Needs to be repeated 100 times. Then ask:

Is Obamacare really worth all this?

They own it!
