Victory Over Obamacare: How To Embarrass The Democrats Into Funding The Government
Forbes ^ | October 4, 2013 | Peter Ferrara

Those of you who are supposedly outraged or indignant over the partial government shutdown, or have friends or neighbors who are outraged or indignant, I can tell you all how YOU can fix it. All you have to do is tell pollsters who call that you think Obama and the Democrats are responsible for the shutdown. As soon as that hits the papers, the shutdown will be over before the end of the day.

That is because it is Obama and the Democrats who shut down the government, because they are so certain that the Republicans will be blamed for it. And that ploy is part of the quixotic quest of Obama and the Democrats to manipulate the public to take back majority control of the House in the President’s second mid-term. Quixotic because that is unprecedented in American politics, and is never going to happen.

House Republicans sent over to the Democrat majority Senate three Continuing Resolutions (CRs) to fund the government. The Senate Democrat majority shot each one down on a unanimous straight party line vote. Every supposed Senate Democrat moderate marched in goose step with the liberal/left party line. Even supposed maverick Joe Manchin of West Virginia, from a state being crucified by the party liberals, voted with the Senate Democrat majority to shut down the government.

Senator Heidi Heitkamp won her race in North Dakota last year by 1% running as a supposed moderate Democrat. The people of her state overwhelmingly oppose Obamacare. But Heitkamp, like Manchin, would rather shut down the government than compromise over Obamacare.....

“There’s no such thing as a moderate Democrat.”

Sure there is, you’re just not looking in the right place.

You can find them standing right next to a moderate muslim.

Only morons still read the, "papers".
What an idiotic, asinine, pretentious remark.
What's the difference between a newspaper and what you see on CNNHLNMSNBCCBSABSNBC, etc?

From the way the dems are reacting, its already looking like their “internal” polls are telling them this is not going as they planned.

What if the next CR approved by the House is presented to a caucus of Senate Republicans, who then approve it.

THEN, the headline would read:

MAJORITY OF LEGISLATORS PASS BILL THAT ENDS SHUTDOWN

THEN, let Harry Reid say that the Democrats in the Senate weren’t part of that majority.

My dad still reads the paper every morning. He’s 90 and a WWII vet .... served as a med tech, patching up the wounded from the Pacific theater. My mom reads it, too .... she’s 80. Most of their friends read the papers, as well.

I still read the paper, but don’t believe everything that is contained in it.

Primary interests are : Sports, Weather, Tides for Fishing, discount coupons.

The rest of the drivel, I’ve seen more intelligently presented and discussed here...

Always pays to know what the opposition is spewing, and what those who are more easily lead are influenced by.

“would rather shut down the government than compromise over Obamacare.....”

This is the issue. Needs to be repeated 100 times. Then ask:

Is Obamacare really worth all this?

They own it!

Especially when the House “ final offer” was to fully fund the govt, and carve out the “ unfair” parts of Obamacare that aren’t in the law that was passed.

I’m extremely disappointed in the conservative media commentators who do not stress that point.

One who makes it really clear is Thomas Sowell

He also exposes the myth of the Debt Limit at the end of his article

A worthwhile read, and pass on to others

What an idiotic, asinine, pretentious remark. What's the difference between a newspaper and what you see on CNNHLNMSNBCCBSABSNBC

Speaking of idiotic comments.

Did I say there was a difference in the "content" between the lying controlled leftist television media, and day old news paper news?

No I didn't slick.

Lemme explain just for you.

It's not the content Mr. ohio, but the the way they receive it and when...This is 1900s stuff...No?

Why do ya think most all newspapers are on life support and choking?

It was probably obvious to all but you that I was referring to the morons who receive their news via wads of inky, dirty greasy paper, with it being day old news, thrown on their driveways. Are you one of them?

Ya think the newspaper losers are printing their slanted news in real time just outside your door?

You don't think the leftist MSN propaganda news in newspapers are not dated when ya grab your wad of paper?

Most reading their news from dirty wads of paper thrown in the gutters are clearly mentally deficient or just lazy. Most probably can't figure out how to use the Internet and wouldn't know what the hell to do with hundreds of multiple credible sources besides CBS,LA Times etc.

Those few capable of critical thought gave up on TV and newspaper news *years* ago...It's 90 percent bull cheet. In fact, TV is only good for live incidents/events and even that is slanted and manipulated by the leftist talking heads.

Most older folks who still read them are generally just too damn lazy to learn new tricks. The elderly who aren't too lazy find they can actually read the news on the Internet, enlarge the font, and find there are hundreds if not thousands of other news sources besides the corrupt MSN you refer to.

Get with it Mr. ohio..There are reasons why newspapers are dying and are nearly dead.

If ya still work for or invest in 1900s technology, ya best find something else fast.

Looking closers, I see you might not be from Ohio and are likely a vet who enjoys wearing your military experience on your sleeve...

Being a vet, I'm not impressed.
