I posted a thread the other day about people in Ohio not letting the Barrycades stop them from enjoying the Cuyahoga Valley Ohio and Erie Canal Tow-Path bike trail. Well the people of Ohio have not given up, the plastic snow fence "Barrycades" are still downed and a limited number of people are enjoying their trail.

Which begs asking: should more people in more states use such peaceful "citizens guerrilla" tactics as cutting and downing their local park`s Barrycades? I can`t answer that for you but this morning, I had a really nice early autumn hike along a lovely trail.

Have you seen such acts of defiance in the face of tyranny? Post them to your own threads, lets chronicle the simple spirit of American freedom.

I think if this goes on until Halloween there should be a million zombie march on Washington DC. People of all walks of life should come dressed as zombies and knock down Barrycades and just keep circling the Spite House. A peaceful but scary protest.

There`s a pro-veteran`s ride to DC planned for the 13th. I`m thinking of asking for vacation time to do it but that's a long ride from the Akron, Ohio area. A VERY long ride!

Yes! We OWN the government and, thus, the park that barry wants to keep us out of.

Besides, a bit of civil disobedience by the VOTERS might wake these political vermin up.

I said "might".

Well while I`m not suggesting “breaking” any laws, as the cowboy said: “A man`s gotta do, what a man`s gotta do”.

What laws?
If anyone asks - just say you got a waiver :)

And hope that works? Well they are OUR parks, and that`d be my defense, IF I were to take down a Barrycade.

Given the lack of good news to date, would it be possible to post an on-going moderator`s thread to cover any such incidents of ditching the Barrycade? We could use some good news.

There are lists of closed parks, lets list the "guerrilla opened" ones.

If there’s ever another national election, I hope the good people of Ohio will remember what the RATS have done to them lately.

Happened yesterday...

US Army Corps of Engineers (Pittsburgh Dist) have closed the launching ramp and parking lot at Burnsville, on Burnsville Lake in WV. Just two Barackades and a cone. Used the ramp anyway and parked in the marina lot as did others.

The ACE wanted to lock a cable across the road and give the key to the marina owner so that folks could pull their boats out in anticipation of the marina’s annual closing for the season, but NOT to let others launch. He told them where to put the lock, cable AND key.
