First words has to be: “I feared for my life and I could not safely leave my home. I HAD to fire to protect my life.”
I can’t even imagine the courage it took him to go into that house to investigate. He probably thought it would be over and everything would be on the floor.
Has anyone else noticed the increased usage of the present tense when reporting news? It is driving me crazy.
‘He returns home from work’
This is constant in the reporting here.
An American Hero...this is a legitamate case of one person being Judge, Jury and Executioner, justice served at the scene of the crime, one man serves and protects; something 100 cops can’t do.
Tens of thousands of dollars of taxpayer money saved, win win win all around.
sniff, I just love happy endings!
Correct marktwain. Why anyone would call 911 in this situation is beyond me. The problem was taken care of, now you are recorded so the the relatives of the intruder can sue you and the cops investigate to bolster families case.
Don’t call anyone. Bury the intruder and forget it. Save your self a lot of legal fees
