Pat Roberts has been in Washington too long and is not the strong conservative that he purports to be. He will win reelection easily, but I will take advantage of this opportunity to send a shot across his bow and a warning to those other Republicans who have become too cozy with the Washington culture.

He should move to Missouri and run against Blount. I agree with those who say, leave Roberts alone.

Kansan here. My impression of Pat Roberts is that he votes right, but we never hear from him until its time for re-election.

Robert’s conservative ratings appear to be much better than either one of my two “Conservative Republican” Mississippi Senators. Cochran @55% and Wicker @41%, tied wit mCain. Wicker had been voting more Conservative than Cochran but Wicker got re-elected and now Thad is “more Conservative” than Roger. They both voted against Senator Cruz and for cloture.

Roberts and Moran are much more conservative than a previous generation of KS Republicans, James B. Pearson, Frank Carlson, and Nancy Kassebaum Baker. Dole was a little more conservative than the other three.

Wicker is a distant cousin of TN Fred Thompson.

Recently he has been better-—right after he knew Milton was running. But Roberts is more of an “inside the beltway” guy and we have all pretty much agreed that there needs to be regular turnover in DC.
