Obama again attacks Republicans: ‘I’m not budging (tells media to keep the heat on GOP)
Daily Caller ^ | October 9, 2013 | Neil Munro

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama tried Tuesday to sway the public’s jaundiced view of the budget crisis with a mishmash of economic threats, campaign-style attacks on Republicans, repeated offers of budget talks and numerous promises to reject any compromise.

“I’m not budging when it comes to the full faith and credit of the United States. … I think people understand that,” Obama told reporters in the White House’s press office.....................

.....Obama emphasized his no-compromise stance by promising to block the GOP’s numerous government-funding bills until the GOP agrees to drop its Obamacare reforms, which include ending a tax on medical devices, and ending lucrative concessions for well-paid congressional staff.

“Of course, I’m tempted [to accept the mini-bills, but]… if there’s no political heat, if there is no television story on it, then nothing happens.”

Obama does not care if the government shuts down. His goal (also Reid's and Pelosi's goal) is to break Tea Party conservative influence on the Hill. The battle is to tear out the heart and long-term commitment of their opposition in 2014/2016 and have one party government.

Obama is counting on the compliant Obama media to frame the argument and the "facts" in order to make him appear reasonable and the conservatives as "hostages takers" and "terrorists" until they give him all he wants.

Obama is not in the mood to allow anything but total capitulation by the House.

"Speaking to reporters at the White House, Obama said that if House Republicans re-opened the government and lifted the nation’s borrowing authority — even for a few months — he would enter into wide-ranging talks that could include his signature healthcare law and issues related to the debt.

If they want to do that, reopen the government. Extend the debt ceiling. If they can’t do it for a long time, do it for the period of time in which these negotiations are taking place,” Obama said......" Boehner rejects Obama's offer for short-term debt, shutdown deal

Tell your 5 that history remembers the heroes.

Commandancy of the The Alamo

Bejar, Feby. 24th. 1836

To the People of Texas & All Americans in the World—

Fellow Citizens & compatriots—

I am besieged, by a thousand or more of the Mexicans under Santa Anna — I have sustained a continual Bombardment & cannonade for 24 hours & have not lost a man — The enemy has demanded a surrender at discretion, otherwise, the garrison are to be put to the sword, if the fort is taken — I have answered the demand with a cannon shot, & our flag still waves proudly from the walls — I shall never surrender or retreat. Then, I call on you in the name of Liberty, of patriotism & everything dear to the American character, to come to our aid, with all dispatch — The enemy is receiving reinforcements daily & will no doubt increase to three or four thousand in four or five days. If this call is neglected, I am determined to sustain myself as long as possible & die like a soldier who never forgets what is due to his own honor & that of his country — Victory or Death.

William Barrett Travis.

Lt. Col. comdt.

P. S. The Lord is on our side — When the enemy appeared in sight we had not three bushels of corn — We have since found in deserted houses 80 or 90 bushels and got into the walls 20 or 30 head of Beeves.

Travis

I understand and certainly explained why Obama mentioned the Tea Party in his speech today......he openly identified outright who he is fighting against by doing so...and of course indirectly mentioned Cruz.

Obama only promised he’d “talk” he did NOT say he would ‘negotiate’....it’s important to note his words...for he can talk forever without a single debate. He said over and over he was open for ‘discussion’...’for talking’...but said not one word of debating these issues to arrive at any other agreement concerning Obamacare.

So he’s being deceptive entirely in misleading people to think he’s going to even consider any change in his stance.

I hope Boehner continues to stand but unfortunately that Knight in Armor leads the charge only to drop his weapon ‘every time’ at the last hour... and hands over His armor ta boot! Can;t trust he’ll hold Cinci....may God stiffin his spine!

For the most part Obama put it all in Reids hands.....so he’s the guy with the authority.

I agree Obama is NOT going to give an inch...though he will make it “look” as if he is willing to...as he did today in his speech.....Oh how I detest that man! Words just can’t express..there are none...!!!

What he doesn’t see is that anger is transferred to action all the more to oppose Him.

It certainly does. But he's also counting on the anger he incites to spill on to Republicans on the Hill and cause division (it's a balancing act to create unity - which is happening now).

Obama-Reid-Pelosi-MSM are doing everything they can to drive a wedge between our ranks.

If anyone had any doubt that Obama was behind the IRS targeting the Tea Party, they don’t now.

So perhaps he is now banking on enough of the public believing it.

He is fast moving toward rule by decree. All the rhetoric points in that direction. All he needs to do is purposely default on the debt, and he has an instant crisis that demands prompt executive action.

"The Tea Party anarchists and terrorists caused this Depression, I will not stand for it, I will save America, and to do that, I have suspended the constitution . . . "

Obama will soon slip the presidential mask, and reveal the dictator.

nobama: A big chunk of the Republican Party right now is -- are in gerrymandered districts where there's no competition and those folks are much more worried about a tea party challenger than they are about a general election...

Wrong. Again. These RINOS aren't afraid of the tea party challenger, they are scared to death of their constituents who will enthusiastically support the tea party challenger.

FOOL!

"...Obama emphasized his no-compromise stance by promising to block the GOP’s numerous government-funding bills..."

We are starting to see a good amount of civil disobedience - Friday's trucker rally in DC could go a long way towards this.
I don't think Obozo is winning the PR battle - even with the Libtard media's complicity.
