EBT System Goes Down: Obama Voters Threaten Mass Riots

“cuz lock your doors load your guns they cut off ebt cards nationwide” - Twitter

They voted for Obama for the free stuff. Now the free stuff isn’t happening. So they riot.

Today, the Electronic Benefits Transfer system (electronic food stamps debit card) went down in several states due to a computer glitch, and Obama voters are going nuts on Twitter, threatening mass rioting. This is free government money gone bad and exactly what’s wrong with our country.

According to WoodTV (NBC 8),

NBC News reports several states were affected by the glitch. The USDA released a statement saying:“EBT cards in a number of states have temporarily stopped working today due to a technical issue that the vendor that serves these states is experiencing. The vendor is working to fix this issue and EBT cards will work again once it is resolved. This issue is not related to the government shutdown.”

Pat Dollard reports, from TWITCHY,

“Darn shame about losing your guns in that accident.

Seems like there’s a lot of that going around these days...”

I’ve lost all mine twice.

In the old days a steam locomotive had a driver and a shovel man, for the locomotive to operate, the shovel man had to knock himself out shoveling coal into the boiler.

Similarly, obama, Pelosi, Reid, Axelrod, jarrett and McCain have been shoveling money into ebt cards. And, like the locomotive coming to a dead stop when it runs out of coal, the EBT cards are coming to a dead stop because in six days the government is going to run out of money to shovel into the EBT account! Indeed, I bet, if the truth was known, the bastards are out of money NOW and they are trying to buy time re the masses with the 100 buck bribe and blaming the computer!

Then, there is the question of whether or not these rioting bros are EXACTLY what Obama wants!?

This is a good example of what the Democrat Party is.

It is “give me things for nothing or else I will commit violent acts”. And even if they are given things for nothing they will still commit violent acts.

100 buck bribe

If you are referring to what I said it was a joke (tagline). Don't want that to get broadcast all over Twitter or somewhere lol.

I’d better go hide in a National Park somewhere.

Or maybe the masses will start demanding the bonus now and bankrupt Moochele’s slush fund.

“Alcohol may not be purchased using SNAP. A transaction of that sort would require a corrupt retailer scanning the wrong barcode or something like that. They wouldn’t get away with doing that for very long.”

You can’t be serious. You are living in a fantasy world. People buy cigarettes and alcohol all the time with EBT cards. There are many ways to get around it. As a matter of fact a clerk was fired for not selling cigarettes to an EBT customer.

EBT cards are used at strip clubs and casinos too.

Hand an EBT card to a neighbor with cash. Ooh, that was hard.

You’re confusing the EBT TANF benefit with the EBT SNAP benefit. Seems to be a lot of that disease going around FR.

My goodness. The comments from the bugs on that site tell a very sick and demented story.

Those people should stay away from me, very far away.

Except that’s not a SNAP or EBT transaction. That’s a barter outside of the system. The OP was discussing ordinary transactions at the register.

Corrupt retailers is usually how it works. And every so often you hear of a bust.
The electronic cards were started in part to combat fraud, and I think they do. But scammers can still turn over their card and PIN # to someone else, for a price. The the person would report the card “lost” and get a replacement. So now the state is clamping down and either charging a fee for replacements or limiting how often you can get a replacement. With the old paper stamps people would just sell them, usually 50 cents on the dollar. They would issue an ID that cashiers were supposed to ask but few ever did. Cards also make the cashier’s job easier. I used to cashier in a co-op and since change over a dollar for food stamps had to be given in stamps, it meant setting up the till with $20 each time even if they didnt get used, and they usually didnt. WIC was different. It was a voucher for a certain amount. If her purchases came a little under the amount of the voucher, she just forfeited it, usually a few cents.
Long ago when food stamps were first invented, probably during the Johnson administration, users had to buy them. I don’t know how the proportions worked, but I think having them commit some of their own money was a good idea.

The comments are scary.

Below the "low-information" voter is the "zero-information" voter. Both groups are democrat controlled.

Correct. It is a barter outside the system. I am glad the gov cleared that up. /s

Look at what happened during Sandy in New York. Three days and they were dumpster diving. I figure at Manhattan rates six, maybe seven days "they" start fanning out, probably less for the more intelligent ones.
I find myself doing some day to day run's for a quick evening meal, but that is because I have the convenience to do so at my whim, not because I need to.
The people living in suburbia, 15-20 feet from their neighbor? I hope you "know" your neighbor, and "their" neighbor. The closer you are to a city the harder you will have to fight soon... This administration is fanning the flames.

Exactly. SNAP is just for food. The other is what used to be known as “welfare” and is now also done electronically in many places.

Both EBT benefits are used to buy alcohol etc all the time. If you think the program is pure and never abused you are naive.

Folks believe the credit card replaces the food stamp.

All it does it get somebody’s fat ass off the couch. The money stays the same.
