I think pot is a waste of good brain power, but I also think it is a waste of money to make it illegal.

As a math major, I know that alcohol is poison (but I still love beer)...and pot would turn our world into mindless dullards if everyone smoked it.
But everyone won't...and social Darwinism will still reign.
Probably not a bad idea to make driving under the influence illegal tho.

It's all about freedom of choice. Do you want a cup of coffee, tea, beer, or herb?
A large percent of our population has no clue about God's first gift. Even worse, they believe the lies of the accuser, and persecute their brother.

A drunk will run a stop sign. A pothead stops and waits for it to turn green.

America 2013, land of dopeheads, degenerates and faggots.
Less and less interest in preserving this decaying republic each and every day.

To: greene66
There was once a time when the Republic was about personal freedoms (and with that came personal responsibility). You should re-evaluate your idea of a republic.
It may come as a surprise to you, but some of the founders smoked marijuana. You would probably be surprised who around you smoke that you haven't the first clue about. Not everyone that partakes of the plant is non-productive just like not everyone that drinks is a full blown alcoholic.

God didn't outlaw sin...he gave it to humans as an alternative which had eternal (but negative) consequences.
If God didn't make it illegal (He permits it), why shouldn't we?
Murder? Yes. We should fight it.
But sins of self-indulgence? Shouldn't each man choose on his own whether or not to obey God.

Less and less interest in preserving this decaying republic each and every day. The interest will pick up when we hit bottom. Other nations will have a vested interest in sucking the life out of this country when it is in utter chaos.

Perhaps you should clarify (if you sincerely seek an answer).

Hemp was never a threat to the republic. It’s prohibition was and is a sham.

I agree with you in that the more we define the activities of man (as productive and non-productive), the more progress we will make.
Blind ignorance is never far behind us.

You’re right about that. It is a schedule 1 “drug” in the same category as heroin and opium. Those are derivatives (i.e., manufactured and refined) from another substance. Marijuana is just a plant and besides its use for altering reality, it has HEAVY industrial uses that could directly benefit the United States by creating jobs and industry.

In fact let’s carry it on. What carries the spirit of the Lord and what carries the devil.
The stark fact is that INANIMATE OBJECTS can be used by LIVING HUMANS for EITHER purpose. A drug, a gun, a tool, or what have you. Stereotyping objects as evil only stultifies freedom.

There are low/no THC varieties of the stuff that are used for rope, etc. hemp today. Still. I’ve myself long stood for not stereotyping inanimate objects.

No the legalization of the object is evil. Putting the stamp of approval of society on something like that is horrible.
Just because some freepers want to drag their kids to Potfest, jeesh

I don’t think it is so much any of “us” defining the activities of man, I think it is the government acting in such as way that “classes” of man (and woman) are not held to consequence for the actions. When we can actually get back to personal responsibility (i.e., answering for bad decisions made) applied evenly across the board, problems tend to take care of themselves. All we are left with today is a government that coddles bad behavior and I can very well see why it pisses a LOT of people off; especially people who are doing everything right with no recognition.

I’m sorry, you have a completely unbiblical mindset.
What changed between 1900 and today.
We have scape goating on the inanimate, pure and simple. And you are so blinkered you cannot see it. This is the thinking of pussy cats. Not of lion hearts.

And I mean pussy cats. They are scared when no one even pursues, at any blowing leaf. (Looking up the verse is left for an exercise.)
