Conservatives Hit Mark Pryor

Senate Democrats up for re-election in 2014 have been running, hiding, ducking—you name it—to avoid taking responsibility for the health-care overhaul they supported. But Democratic Sen. Mark Pryor of Arkansas might have yet another vulnerability: votes for judicial nominees. An ad released this week by the Judicial Crisis Network slams Mr. Pryor for toeing the line on President Obama's appointments of activist judges.

"Mark Pryor voted for every one of Obama's liberal judicial nominees," the 30-second clip begins as a long list of confirmed names rolls across the screen. "Every. Single. One." The ad goes on to criticize Mr. Pryor for his support of the president's plan to pack the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals—the one that most often rules on his regulatory agenda—with left-wing judges.

It’s possible.

I’d think Ark is less vulnerable to the “war on women/fund a libertarian to bleed votes” strategy that the Dems are running with nationwide.

I hope it’s a pick up.

A 10/24/13 Arkansas Poll had it as a dead heat.

I’d hope that some PAC would run a few ads on TV that mention some of the extremist judges that Pryor has voted for and hopefully highlight a few of those judges really iffy decisions.

That’d be a good way to start softening up Pryor for next year.

Maybe. If so, perhaps we'll arrive in hell at half speed.

There really is no chance to turn things around, to restore republican freedom until the senate once again represents the states.

Question: If the states once again appointed senators, doesn't it stand to reason the president wouldn't even bother to nominate judges hostile to the 10th amendment?

Pryor is toast,(My prediction) but his likely replacement Tom Cotton (R) isn’t much of an improvement. Replacing Nanny-State Dems with Police-State Republicans is a phyrric victory.(My opinion)

You always vote. You always vote for the more conservative candidate. So I guess I will be voting for cotton. Yes, I was a bit disappointed that cotton will be on the ticket (especially after he came out in support for a Syrian intervention). BUT... No other credible conservative has stepped up.

Pryor voted for obamacare, so he I will vote against him no matter who has the R by their name.

Yeah, I’m sticking with that.
I will be very happy to see Pryor go, and I’ll vote for Cotton since there is no other conservative choice. If you need further information, just look at Cotton on the NSA spying on U.S. Citizens.

Which parts of the Constitution are you willing to give up just to get a Republican majority?

I was really hoping Mark Darr would run.
