Breaking: Speaker Boehner Kills Senate Amnesty Bill
Independent Journal Review ^ | On November 13, 2013 | Kyle Becker

peaker John Boehner has halted further talks on the Senate’s immigration package, and has stated that he has “no intention” of going to conference with the Gang of Eight to debate it further. That means amnesty’s not going anywhere in this Congress.

NBC News recently reported:

House Speaker John Boehner says he will not allow any House-passed immigration legislation to be blended with the Senate’s sweeping reform bill, further quashing the chances of comprehensive immigration reform legislation being signed into law anytime soon.

“We have no intention of ever going to conference on the Senate bill,” Boehner told reporters Wednesday.

...

Although amnesty is not off the table in terms of further talks, both formal and informal, House Speaker John Boehner is now on record saying he has no desire to discuss the matter with the Senate. Which means that as far as this Congress is concerned, an amnesty deal is all but dead this year.

Looks like the Republicans might be serious about winning the 2014 elections after all. And the Obama lame duck just got a little lamer.

Rand Paul’s immigration speech

...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.

Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.

Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.

Let’s start that conversation by acknowledging we aren’t going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.

If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...

This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.

Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.
[but he’s not in favor of amnesty, snicker, definition of is is]

they should be passing a repeal of obamacare right now and passing real healthcare reform instead of the phony...

Real health care reform would be to repeal every federal law having anything to do with health care. Leave it to the several States.

The winningest message right now would be "vote for us and we will only repeal laws, we won't make any new laws".

That’s a relief. I was concerned.

I wouldn’t say we’re out of the woods yet, look out for the GOP diet version next year.

Back in August when perdogg predicted that time would run out without a house immi bill I was convinced too and as time when on it was more and more obvious to me that they wouldnt pass any amnesty, especially when the government shut down.

but in that time I got lots of scary warnings in pings about secret diabolical plots that would pull a wabbit out of a hat, but I remained unconvinced.

Sandy Hook, Boston Bombing, Syria gassing, shutdown and rollout took months away from amnesty.

Also the gang of 8 are the most horrible and stupid Senators around. Rubio was never going to be a frontrunner anyway so the poll numbers were great for the anti-amnesty crowd.

You have Flake and Juan spending the last 3 years promising Arizona they wouldnt pull this BS. You had Rubio caught on tape past and present. Lindsey Graham getting a primary opponent each month.

The Democrat Senators were all far left and said border security was not stopping amnesty.

Even Krispy said he doesnt know about Citizenship. Once you admit these people are Democrats you are not hispandering enough.

Lou Gohmert took down idiot McCain.
