Could 2014 rescue Obama from Obamacare debacle?
Yahoo! News ^ | November 21, 2013 | Olivier Knox

Can President Barack Obama heal his second term from the self-inflicted wounds of Obamacare? How?

The usual inside-the-Beltway doctors are offering the usual inside-the-Beltway prescriptions: Amputate! (He should fire someone.) Transfusion! (Bring new blood into his insular circle, ideally someone who can say “no” to him and have it count.)

Inside the White House, one remedy dominates the discussion. As Obama himself said Nov. 14: Things may turn around “if we can just get the darn website working and smooth this thing out.” Aides say that growing numbers of Americans signing up for health insurance will defend those benefits — making it harder for Republicans to rally wavering Democrats behind crippling the Affordable Care Act.

Dig a little more, and administration officials confess to hoping that a steadily improving economy could be a political cure-all. “The No. 1 priority has and will be economic progress,” White House press secretary Jay Carney said Nov. 4....

I think the question should be “can the media rescue Obama from Obamacare?”

The only way to get free of the quagmire is to ditch the program.

The 90-100 million that are going to lose their plan will override anyone currently enrolled.

Come 2014 there are going to be a lot of angry people who don’t like being forced to buy a sack of crap.

Also these new plans will prove to not be worth the paper they were drafted on, as finding medicos to service them will become quite difficult.

There will be a huge outcry between the two for a return to a sane, private system. Government will not be seen as a viable source of a solution, not with the way it bumbled this puppy.

Hubris, meet nemesis.

The fine doesn’t even go towards a credit for health care. Imagine a young person pays the fine for 20 years.

Obama should “go out and talk about immigration. Talk about the economy. Talk about gay rights. Climate. Promise to close Gitmo[Guantanamo Bay],”

Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Talk about gun-grabbing. See if he can get those poll numbers into the teens.

What’s the reply to “I will not buy this record; it is scratched”?

More people than ever are going to have to choose between food and 0bama-Care. They need to start voting their stomachs instead of their sex parts.

“if we can just get the darn website working and smooth this thing out.”

This has been the plan for many months.

On July 2 Obama announced a year delay for business with 50 or more employees. Why?

As a contingency.

Because in March[1,2] he was briefed on a report warning of the potential for system failure that could make the health care exchanges inaccessible to consumers trying to buy insurance through them.

Most people have insurance through their employer.

By delaying the mandate for employers he minimized the number of persons effected by a non-functioning website.

His illegal delay decree ought to be declared by Congress as irrelevant, of no force, and DEMAND that the law be enforced. DO NOT GIVE OBAMA THE LUXURY OF TIME. TIME IS NOT OUR ALLY.

DO NOT CEDE TIME TO OBAMA.

Oh, time is a friend now. Because God is just a-layin’ the hammer of consequences down now.

And the longer the Rats take? The more hammered they get.

Let them choose whether to fix (abolish) it quick, or do it slow. And take accordingly less or more punishment.

Works for me!

“Dig a little more, and administration officials confess to hoping that a steadily improving economy could be a political cure-all.”

With plans to accomplish that by stealing what’s left of everyone’s disposable income.

It’s the oldest trick in the book. Get as many mouths at the trough as possible, then when you pull it away all the squealing pigs will fight you.

Nothing but more workers will improve an economy in the long run.

That’s why easy immigrant work policies make a perverted kind of sense.

Doing the work that Americans are too filled up with lies to do!

Except... I think the trough is going to be filled with stuff that acutely disappoints. Doctors don’t YET have to accept these plans, and would rebel en masse if they were ordered to (not to mention Constitutional protections).

“Can President Barack Obama heal his second term from the self-inflicted wounds of Obamacare? How? “

By resigning immediately....Obama and “big f’n deal) Biden.

The Speaker of the House would then be president and we would have new elections...

But that ain’t gonna happen...

Time is Obama’s ally. He’s betting on the website being operational by the time the vast majority of people lose their insurance.

Sure, that insurance will be more expensive, BUT IT WILL BE AVAILABLE. Unlike now when it is not available.

I think this whole thing is over by the end of the month, or soon after. Every single day, thousands of low-information voters are discovering how terrible “Obamacare” is.

The Libs went a bridge too far, or maybe two of them. They angered much of their low-info base, and actually made them go looking for more info.

The whole thing is a miscalculation of astonishing proportions.

With so many low-infos being dropped from their insurance plans, and checking out how much they’ll have to pay for comparable “Obamacare” ... Well, I can’t see them being fanboys or fangirls of the lame duck very much longer.
