B-52s can carry some real goodies and go wherever they like.

Obama needs a boost in approval ratings. Dems are getting nervous after failed roll-out of ACA and blatant sell-out of the Middle East to Iran. So this is the CIC on the horn. I want you boys to go violate Chinese air space. Call me when you start receiving Ak-ak or somebody gets shot down, whichever comes first. I’ll be working on my speech to Congress asking for a war declaration.

"Yes, extraordinarily large targets."

With several kinds of the best security on the planet to defend them. Not to mention that they carry nukes.

“yea right, anything to take away his awful dropping numbers, go to have something for the news to report on and make him look strong”

you know whats funny though. in this 24 hour news cycle, you’re able to saturate the masses so they forget, like say, how quaint it was that at one time when we thought eric holder might resign. now, your average voter doesn’t know who eric holder is.

however

obamacare is a horse of a different color. you don’t need the media to remind you that your policy was canceled, or your preminum has doubled, or you cant keep your same doctor.

>>The more aggressive china acts, the more important that we disentangle ourselves from them.<<

They get aggressive...import tariffs.
They continue to push...begin freezing assets.
Pull manufacturing.
They don’t get the message....default on 1.2 trillion in loans.

What are they gonna do?

B-52s and their crews are not expendable Mr. president.
Why didn't you fly Air Force One?

"War against China? Who's he going to get to fight it? Walmart employees? Illegal aliens?"

Oh, you know how our nation, from time to time, can crank up the "Rah, rah, sis, boom, bah, our team, our team!" machine. It's really effective.

"CIA World Factbook.

[Little excerpt here.]
" Military ::United States...
Manpower fit for military service:

males age 16-49: 60,620,143
"

[Little manpower there.]

"Who's going to manufacture this war machine? Communist China? "

Now, that's a good question.

I will tell you the one thing I didn't do: I didn't help myself to the contents of your wallet because I felt some injustice was committed. Nor would I presume to do so, in any circumstance. You feel that you can do so for my own good.

You are such a dumb ass.

Do you think it's revenue neutral to have 25% plus of our workforce out of work, and another 25% working in positions that only pay them a fraction of what they used to earn?

Whose pocket do you think the welfare, unemployment, and other financial aids they get, comes out of? The Swiss? The Mexicans? The Kenyans?

You profess not want to take money out of my pocket, but you're perfectly happy to block that money from every getting into my pocket in the first place aren't you. This didn't occur to you? Seriously?

I'd be interested to know what sort of people you think our nation's founders were. Evidently you think they were union boss Marxists, Communists, Socialists, and worse.

They set up a system where our government was financed by tariffs. Their reasoning was that this would be a limit on the size and scope of government. The revenue wouldn't be enough for the government to finance every pipe dream it wanted.

So today you trash folks who want trade brought back to a reasoned level, and denigrate our founders with your insults to people who never stated they wanted to have tariffs raised in the first place.

One more thing I'll note about you, is that I have never seen you mention monetary manipulation by China which sees our goods have to hurdle a roughly 40% tariff going into China, and thus limiting our exports to that nation.

Since that also impacts employment here, you should be all over it. Never have I see you raise that subject, although you profess to hate tariffs that hurt our citizens.

So either you know nothing of what you're talking about, our you're flat out pushing propaganda on purpose.

This is a freaking lie no matter who spins it if anything Obama is trying to stir up problems with china and get them to cause turmoil here he sure as heck didn’t do it as a saber rattle especially after firing most of the senior staffs from our armed forces ..

So you gotta ask and wonder what kind of crap he is trying to stir up politically or culturally and maybe even without blinking monetarily ....

Won’t make no difference what we have if we don’t have accomplished and competent men and woman to run and use them accordingly in a defensive manner not an offensive one !

Heard on the news that the PLANES WERE UNARMED. Sitting ducks for the reds.

We did the same shit in Vietnam with often unarmed B-52s and unarmed RF-4 Phantom reconnaissance planes. Other F-4s were armed, originally, only with failure-prone Sidewinders (my friend was one of those pilots - Call Name “Sundowner 1).

We never learn. Our Air Force is now being called the “US Air Farce” and will good meaning.

[ “But we should go ahead and raise the import tariffs”

You are in favor of raising taxes? No thanks.

No one if forcing anybody to buy Chinese products. ]

Import tariffs are more in line with the founders than an income tax...

We should end the income tax and put a 10% tariff on all imported goods. If the government doesn’t have enough money they should budget for their damn income.

A Chinese estimate suggests as much as 213 billion barrels of oil lie untapped in the South China Sea alone which, if true, would make it the largest oil reserve outside Saudi Arabia, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

Ha...you need to get out of Texas a bit more....

213 billion barrels is small potatoes....

The USGS report from January gives our Green River Formation 3TRILLION barrels of oil....with 1 Trillion barrels recoverable with today's technology.

As a side comment...the worlds known reserves of oil weigh in at about a Trillion barrels......we just trebled it.

It’ll be a lot worse if the Chinese get their hands on all the resources they are trying to illegally wrest from those who legitimately own them (Philippines, Japan, etc...)

The Chinese at this point can be deterred without great risk, and doing so keeps them deterrable. If they ever get the upper hand in terms of resources, THEN we are in real trouble.

The problem with the Green River Formation is: Will our wonderful leaders ever let even 10% be extracted?
