History will record that on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on the Judiciary met to consider the impeachment of Barack Hussein Obama.
They didnt use that word, of course. Republican leaders frown on such labeling because it makes the House majority look, well, crazy.
It is, Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) said from the dais, the word that we dont like to say in this committee, and Im not about to utter here in this particular hearing.
One of the majoritys witnesses, Georgetown law professor Nicholas Rosenkranz, encouraged the Republicans not to be so shy. I dont think you should be hesitant to speak the word in this room, he said. A check on executive lawlessness is impeachment.
This gave the lawmakers courage. Im often asked this, said Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.) You got to go up there, and you just impeach him.
Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-Tex.), who has said there are enough votes in the House to impeach Obama, added: Weve also talked about the I-word, impeachment, which I dont think would get past the Senate in the current climate. . . . Is there anything else we can do?
Why, yes, there is, congressman: You can hold hearings that accomplish nothing but allow you to sound fierce for your most rabid constituents.

Boehner, are you listening?
Selective enforcement of the law is a crime.

Hell other than what Cruz has said that’s the most sane thinking I’ve seen from the GOP in a long time
I recall in 2007 and 2008 Speaker Pelosi let her liberal base in House hold meetings on impeachment to keep them placated.
But even she wasnt that stupid to give them a vote on it.
“Boehner, are you listening? “
You’ve gotta be kidding. How can he hear us between guzzling some more alcohol?
Boehner is slime.
It’s just about sex; let’s move on. /s
- “homo electus” needs to go - now
- Jesse Jackson had a solution ..
What good would it do? This Senate will never convict him, it would be useless and the MSM would gleefully demagogue the whole thing, switching the subject from the obvious failure of Bambicare, the economy and the rest of the mess these people are leaving.
Take the Senate in 2014 with enough seats to let the squishes off the hook and go for it.
In the process, hold the MSM’s feet to the fire in that they enabled Obama.
Impeachment is not enough. Obama will not be affected by impeachment! He’s an ideologue. He must be tried and removed. There aren’t enough male hormones within the republican party to do what’s appropriate. They’re all hat and no cattle. Meanwhile, Obama’s well on his way to the total destruction of America!
Cue the surrender-monkeys, 3-2-1...
Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-Tex) said it best. It ain’t gonna past the Senate. Perhaps wait till the 2014 elections and the possibility of taking back the senate.
I dunno the best way to do it.
The only good, I can see is that it might keep him occupied.
If we really think he is trying to usher in a dictatorship, then that could keep him tied up and frustrate his ability to implement further changes.
It will never happen... blaaaa blaaaa blaaaa /sarcasm
Impeachment is a total waste of time, as long as we have a Dem Senate.
Isn’t that the one remedy Democrats also saw for President Bush?
Likely not happening, not with the democrat/media complex circling the wagons..
If people are earnestly concerned with out country and serious about preserving liberty they must work full time at creating a landslide election of true conservatives in '14 and '16.
If just 20% of the republicans who voted for Romney would recruit one new voter for the next election the liberals would not stand a chance. But, the truth is that for every Tea Party activist that is out trying to persuade the uneducated and uninvolved, there are ten people who claim conservative values and do no more than forward email rants and jokes hoping others will take action.
Perhaps, without multiple smoking guns I think it might actually help our fearless reader bring about his dictatorship..
Obama committed an impeachable act by just taking the oath of office. At least it was a criminal act.
