About 7,071 same-sex couples got married in Washington between December 6, 2012, and the most recent complete month of data, September 2013. There were 42,408 total marriages in the state during that time, according to the Washington State Department of Health.

So far, most of Washington state's same-sex marriages, 62 percent, were between two women....

Marriage is between a man and a woman. Anything else is a fantasy construct.

On Monday Night Football (Saints vs. Seahawks), leftist Mike Tirico was going on breathlessly about how Seattle is America's most "literate" city (whatever that might mean) and what a great, wonderful place it is. With all consideration to FReepers who call Seattle home, it's a third world hellhole. I've been there several times on business over the past three decades and it's nothing but a miserable, depressing, typical liberal place. In short, it's heaven on earth for the obama-lovin' crowd that sports the silly COEXIST sticker on their little clown cars.

Don’t recall an utterance from Tirico, but Wilson was amazing. Classy young man.

The reality is this...it is also the place where few get married...in other words they live together in great numbers in liberal infested places like that....so, the numbers do not speak to the FACT that homosexuals still comprise only 3% of our population...they want to create fiction here along with false impression of huge numbers.

The rears, too, if I don't miss my guess.

Iowa has been the most literate state in the Union for decades, unless that has changed recently.

Yes he is -- clean cut, articulate and free of bling. He doesn't pose himself in the pouting, thuggish manner that so NFL players do. And his onfield performance speaks for itself.

That obviously means little since that state was responsible for launching obama. Mississippi is often derided by Yankees and liberals but it's Christian, Conservative and pro-gun. I'll take that kind of true wisdom over the bookishness so valued by leftists.

And they’ll make up about 50% of the divorces within 3 years.

If I hated gay people (and did not understand the societal implications of destroying the traditional family, which is directly tied to the divine mandate), I’d be all for gay marriage. Why? Because then they would get to suffer the misery of divorce, and without a God based foundation, a whole lot of “marriages” end that way. And they end UGLY.

Very clever and well put! I wonder how many came in from other states? Does British Columbia have queer marriage? I think I heard a great sucking sound when the law went into effect.

The lawyers were smacking their lips thinking of all the money they will make. Because the queers usually have more disposable money in savings, they will fork out lots of legal fees.

Living in Seattle I have enjoyed the Seahawks, but getting to be more of a fan this year. Watching the online interviews of Wilson, he gives a great message not just about football, but of life. His dedication to improving, practicing hard, etc. EVERY practice has a purpose where he is working on improving some particular thing. Really a strong work ethic and a positive attitude that is inspiring for anybody.

He said in one “I work hard at it because some day I want to be a great quarterback”. I had to laugh, but I believe him in that he knows that he is just getting started, and will need to be tough and improve if he wants to last and be a “great” QB.

Asked about going to the store, movie, etc. he said he has no problems, and stays normal. First focus is on God. Then football. (And not much time for movies, unless you count football film!)

Richard Sherman, who loves to trash talk on the field, also comes across as a decent guy. Some guy was interviewing him about his trash talking, and Sherman said “it’s part of the game”. But he did mention one opposing player that he has a real hard time with.

“Yeah, so after the play he’ll say ‘you been playing good this year Richard. I’ve been watching you’. Or ‘nice tackle’ or whatever. How am I supposed to trash talk him!? I hate it!”

Iowa as a whole didn’t launch Mr. Obama, the Iowa Democratic caucuses (a very small minority of Iowans) did.

Unfortunately I live in Maryland South of Baltimore not far from DC area.

Yep, those of us here who believe in normal marriage and families are in the minority here.

What strikes me about both Wilson and Brees (whom I met a few years back) is just how normal they are. Neither has the hulking appearance of the prototype QB, viz., Rothlisberger. Either of them could just be the accountant down the street judging by looks alone. The interview segment with Wilson was indeed impressive and revealed his strong work ethic.

Of course, marring MNF was the blabbermouth Jon Gruden, who is a real beating. But that's a whole 'nother topic worthy of its own thread. :)

It’s a trend. At some point, it will peak out, and go down to two hundred marriages a year within the state. The odds of multiple marriages....where some guy divorces his guy, marries a second time to a guy, then divorces him, and marries a third guy? It’d be an interesting statistic....but I doubt if the state would ever ask this question or desire to know the odds.

I'm shocked that so few people in general chose to get married in this Leftist hellhole.
