Vice.com is a Hard Left website.

The first three paragraphs of the article are standard anti-Conservative hatred and mockery.

But the interview with the Jane's analyst is quite interesting.

Of course the question has a different answer when you look at the fifth column.

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly. But the traitor moves among those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the galleys, heard in the very hall of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor—he speaks in the accents familiar to his victims, and wears their face and their garment, and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation—he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city—he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared." - Cicero, 42 B.C.E.

"At what point shall we expect the approach of danger? By what means shall we fortify against it? Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant to step the ocean and crush us at a blow? Never! All the armies of Europe, Asia, and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth in their military chests; with a Buonaparte for a commander, could not by force take a drink from the Ohio, or make a track on the Blue Ridge, in the trial of a thousand years.

At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we ourselves must be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide." - Abraham Lincoln

1913 was the beachhead and they've been slowing destroying and replacing our civilization ever since. Who are they?

Ummm, yes we have the greatest Air Force, however we’re retiring our airplanes or turning them into drones and shooting them down in Florida. Then there’s that whole F35 thing, and the purging of the military. We might not be on top forever.

Even invincible Rome was conquered, along with many other countries through out history. Our current generations have been lucky, but the day will come where we will no longer be the strongest nation. After WW II ended a wise man told me, that someday the American people will experience war like the people of Europe did.

It only takes a couple small nukes to do us tremendous damage. You know, like the nukes Obama is protecting ( and now financing ) in Iran. Them guys who swear nearly every day they’re gonna kill their Great Satan. Remember?

The first three paragraphs of the article are standard anti-Conservative hatred and mockery.

Something later in the interview is rather revealing as well:

Vice: I guess the big question here is: Are the world's combined forces—including those mad North Koreans, because every little helps—enough to defeat those of the US?

Lehrke: Yes, but only if the US is on the offensive or only if defeat does not equate to conquer or destroy, which it generally does not. The world could, for example, certainly contain the US as the US did the Soviet Union.
But the question you are really asking, if I am correct, is: Are the world's combined forces enough to conquer the United States? Here the answer is no, for it is much harder to project force. It requires logistical resources that the rest of the world simply does not have.

Vice: OK. That's disappointing.

Kinda says it all...

This all seems to presuppose some sort of direct frontal attack. No, that would be suicide.

It first all starts with a President that abuses the constitution. We’re talking egregious abuses, such as end runs around established laws, new and exotic interpretations of enumerated powers.

.... The rest can be seen on nightly TV.

A total bullshit article from leftist liars and horseshit artists. It is typical marxist “call to arms” psy-op: An article that is supposed to instill fear of our “big bad bully” military, so that its readers get whipped up in a frenzy to keep them interested in fighting/destroying it.

Our own Presidents, military brass, politicians, media, academia, and half our citizenry made it possible we lost Iraq and trashcanistan. Iraq should have lasted 6 months, max, and Douchebagistan should have taken three.

Assymetrical warfare, combined with our evaporating technological edge, budget cuts and internal sabatoge will allow a top 5 military to easily defeat and conquer us. Just turn the power off for 3 months, and we will kill ourselves. Then they either send nukes, or come in and really show the Wal Mart shoppers what war crimes are.

“Not really, Americans are not complying with the gun grabber laws.”

Remember what Adm. Yamamoto said about the likely outcome of Japan trying to invade us during WWII. “ A gun behind every blade of grass.”

For a country with $17,200,000,000,000 debt and climbing, it is ridiculous to try to remain a superpower. Most major powers in last 3000 years of world history fell into the abyss not by losing in a war, but going bankrupt. If the federals did not have a printing press, we would be in bankruptcy court already. The printing of fiat money will just postpone bankruptcy, and eventually the fall will be huge and swift.

Only Tea party principles can save this country. The big spenders in Washington DC are destroying this great country.

Roman Empire never was conquered.
Third Reich never was conquered.
USSR never was conquered.
All fell into the abyss by going bankrupt.
Next will be USA with ZERO in charge for 3 more years.
