That is correct. Attacking savvy conservatives like Cruz, Rand Paul, Mike Lee is not to be condoned. Attacking politically stupid candidates like Mourdock and Akin is understandable.
Which is why I want McLame gone! I can’t stand chameleons.
I also have liked Trey Gowdey
Because MSM (where majority of low info voters get their info) will do exactly the same thing they did in the last shutdown...blame republicans.
And thats where we disagree. You think the same outcome as October will occur and proceed to act on your fear and support this bad deal. I on the other hand believe that a world has changed since then. What makes anyone think that the public will react like they did in October before they realized that Cruz was right and Obama and the Dems lied to them? In my opinion, no amount of media propaganda will change the fact that real people have had real increases in their insurance and losses of coverage because of these lies. This is a time for offense, not prevent defense, in my book.
“lol if House could pass the laws, you would be right.”
Did my post say anything about passing laws? I don’t think so.
My point is that you don’t need to pass laws to have power if you hold the House. You already have power by virtue of being able to prevent any spending bills from passing.
I thought everyone who posts here knows that.
We conservatives cannot accomplish any of these worthwhile objectives without control of both houses of Congress and the White House. That should be the objective over the next three years.
What you miss is that the GOP taking a powder for the next 3 years isn’t going to get them the Senate & White House. Instead of approaching a single CR debate they are preemptively surrendering the budget for rest of the time obama is in the WH.
Until the GOP effectively engage the Dems on a consistent basis they will continue to lose. They have done nothing but double down on their tip toe to the election strategy since the shutdown.
Boehner & McConnell have been COMPLETELY MIA just about across the board since the shutdown. Obamacare, IRS, NSA, etc. Voting present is not how the GOP will win elections with the MSM in the pocket of hte Dems.

It isn’t going to happen
Corportists who pushed for this deal are not conservative. If you want to support the GOPers who are cutting vet pensions while increasing procurement contracts for their donors, go for it. That behavior from the GOP is first class asshattery. I won’t be support anybody who votes for that. Ever.
The GOP might hold all 3 branches and nothing will get done if they are all a bunch of RINO’s
You aren’t interested in running Conservatives, so go play in traffic, Capece?
She certainly did. I LOVE Sarah Palin.
The abominable ACA law is already passed. Where do you think they got the money to spend $650 Million on that web site? You can not unring the bell unless you have control of all 3 branches.
You may have a point there, and I certainly hope you are right. But since Obamacare is a gift on silver platter, why take that chance?
Oh yes, I was familiar of Trey Gowdey when he was the prosecutor. He frequently appeared on a TV reality show based on forensics. He is the kind of person we need many more of.
I already said this deal is a bad tactic.
But it may be the best longer term strategy under present situation. Please read several of my posts on this thread.
There is no long term strategy. All of the stuff that is supposed to happen in this deal after next year is not going to happen.
The GOPe raising taxes and spending and then attacking its own base and the TEA Party is the absolute worst strategy possible. It’s pure stupid.
You may have a point there, and I certainly hope you are right. But since Obamacare is a gift on silver platter, why take that chance?
Youre looking at it from the wrong angle. The ones taking a chance are the RINOs attacking the base, raising taxes (remember what happened to Bush #1 with read my lips, no new taxes), and tempting the tea party to form a third party by forcing this through. Let me ask you this, do real Republicans force through major legislation in two days that raises taxes and grows government without allowing the public to digest and debate? Sounds like a desperate move out of the Dem playbook, designed to hide consequences from its base. The ones doing this are the real risk takers.
One: the Constitution; which the party of ‘smaller gov’t’ avoids like the plague.
Presuming they COULD settle upon a handful of topics, as you suggest (let’s take your 3 for example), they still have NO idea HOW to convey a message, walk-the-walk, FIGHT, stay on topic NOR do those 3 stem the tide of further big gov’t/debt.
Sorry, but the States are where the battles should be fought; whom can fight the Fed. We are already so far OUTSIDE of a Constitutional Republic, to hope that D.C. would reign in itself is foolish.
Well, if the only spending we should care about is Obamacare spending, I might see your point.
If we could replace every RINO with a true Tea Party conservative, I agree with you. However I do not want to replace the RINO’s with liberal democrats. Wishing is one thing, reality is another.
If the GOPe gets its way it will be conservatives replaced with RINOs or Democrats, conservatives should be fighting back with everything they have.
If this means McConnell or Bonehead are replaced with Democrats, it is worth it
