Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) on Thursday pushed back on criticism to the budget agreement reached with Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.), saying he wants Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) to "read the deal and get back to me."

In a post on Breitbart.com on Wednesday, Rubio wrote that the deal would continue to “make it harder for Americans to achieve the American dream.”

Ryan was asked on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe”on Thursday what he would say to Rubio.

“Read the deal and get back to me,” Ryan said.

Rubio was one of the first lawmakers to express opposition to the budget, even before Ryan sealed the deal with Murray on Tuesday.

RE: Wait, Ryan opposed Obamacare. What are you talking about?

I think he’s referring to Nancy Pelosi’s famous quote: “We have to pass it to see what’s in it.”

Ryan has constantly used Obamacare ‘savings’ in previous budget proposals. He’s a TARPer and not to be trusted. Rubio cannot be trusted as well for his amnesty views.

From what I gathered on CSPAN this morning, the debt ceiling is raised so they can spend now so that in 5 or 10 years (I forget which) we can save (spend less?) money.

So this is a double edged sword on the necks of Americans.

It raises taxes and pushes any spending cuts a decade out, meaning they will never happen

They will never spend less money.

This deal has no effect on future budgets and nobody is going to remember it in 5-10 years any way

IMO, I think Rubio and Ryan are competing for the 2016 prize.

The two-person ‘deal’ (Ryan & Murray) ends sequestration which is what the establishment Republicans and the Democrats wanted. The establishment GOP is deathly afraid of another government ‘shut down’ that the left can exploit to hurt them in the 2014 congressional elections so they wanted a budget deal that the Democrats will accept. Any conservative opposition upsets the game, hence, the sputtering outrage from the GOP establishment who don’t handle conservative opposition well.

The deal is bad tactic.
But it may be a good strategy.

Without this deal, there will be another shutdown.
Shutdown hurts GOP more than the Rats in 2014 election.

Best thing going for GOP in 2014 is the Obamacare disaster.
GOP needs to win 6 or more seats in senate.
And keep the house by 10+ seats.

That will be very difficult with another shutdown.

First one must win elections.
Only then one’s agenda has a chance of success.
Losers in eletions have zero, zip, nada power to change anything.

Ask Romney, Mourdock, Akin, O’Donnell, Angle how much power do they now have to change any laws.

I can’t cut this TOTAL LOSER a break - on ANYTHING, He ran a pathetic campaign for vice-President and getting outclassed by a mental pygmy like Biden in a debate destroys ALL his credibility on ANY subject in the future.

I can't believe any idiot would support a deal where the Dems get what they want immediately, and Conservatives get what they want in 10 years.

That is so beyond stupid that it can't be true - but I keep reading it.

I agree with you seek,

I think the phrase is

"Hold your nose and vote for it."

It's worked for the Democrats for years.

Yo are right. Palin did better against Biden than Ryan in VP debates.

pissing off the conservative base of the GOP is a good strategy? I really doubt it.
