It raises taxes and pushes any spending cuts a decade out, meaning they will never happen

IMO, I think Rubio and Ryan are competing for the 2016 prize.

The two-person ‘deal’ (Ryan & Murray) ends sequestration which is what the establishment Republicans and the Democrats wanted. The establishment GOP is deathly afraid of another government ‘shut down’ that the left can exploit to hurt them in the 2014 congressional elections so they wanted a budget deal that the Democrats will accept. Any conservative opposition upsets the game, hence, the sputtering outrage from the GOP establishment who don’t handle conservative opposition well.

The deal is bad tactic.
But it may be a good strategy.

Without this deal, there will be another shutdown.
Shutdown hurts GOP more than the Rats in 2014 election.

Best thing going for GOP in 2014 is the Obamacare disaster.
GOP needs to win 6 or more seats in senate.
And keep the house by 10+ seats.

That will be very difficult with another shutdown.

First one must win elections.
Only then one’s agenda has a chance of success.
Losers in eletions have zero, zip, nada power to change anything.

Ask Romney, Mourdock, Akin, O’Donnell, Angle how much power do they now have to change any laws.

I can't believe any idiot would support a deal where the Dems get what they want immediately, and Conservatives get what they want in 10 years.

That is so beyond stupid that it can't be true - but I keep reading it.

I don’t get it; I thought that “the Sequester” was already the law of the land and laid out spending for 2014. Ryan has to come to an agreement with the Democrats to increase spending in 2014 by 45 billion dollars and we need to think that is a GOOD THING? WTF

Ryan's an *ss. I'm hopeful that Rubio learned his lesson after being played by the immigration gang....Ryan should listen to Rubio here. Ryan himself negotiates something with no time to read it and discuss it before it goes up for a vote in the HOR?

Is Ryan an idiot or is he purposely striving to singlehandedly destroy conservative initiatives?

Just read elsewhere that, “what’s in it” was already known all over town, (Matt Kibbe reveals this), leaked by Boehner’s office, and this bleed out naturally gave the suspicious the ability and time to follow along and be instantly prepared for the obvious and nefarious.

A really duh moment for Boehner and Paul Ryan, left to complain that the opposition can’t possibly know “what’s in it” because they hadn’t time to read it. The opposition DID know.

Matt Kibbe For President! I like him. What a fighter.

The eras of ‘back room deals’ and ‘party tough guy’ leaders are gone, and we are the weaker for it.

In the old days a leader was closeted with the chosen next generation leaders, they would work their strategy in private and then come out with more or less one voice.

Democrats, the masters of this in Rayburn and Johnson prior to 60s but the old Republicans prior to 1950 were good at this as well.

Now, we betray our stategy, negotiate by sound byte on talk radio and give out our stategy in public with oppostion always afforded the time to work around us.

A Henry Cabot Lodge of the 50s is needed and we have Boehner who has burnt his bridges with the next generation of congressional leaders time and again.

EITHER tactic would get us success if done in unity, pre-planned and done by teamwork. These guys need to work together or there is no reason for a Party, its a group without a winning program, Tea Party types included.

I read a description of the bill in the WSJ and guess what, it sucks!

The new spending is now and the cuts (which are less than the spending) is spread out of 10 years. There arfe some marginal savings on fed employee pensions but they only apply to new hires and not to the current army of bloodsuckers.

Ryan sold out, we get nothing out of this deal.

I considered Ryan to be one of the rising stars of conservative politics. I guess I may be wrong.

Did Boehner pass around some KoolAid during recess?

Paul Ryan (RINO) raised taxes on air fare then claims he didn’t raise taxes in this budget deal.

Paul Ryan’s (RINO) budget deal makes the TSA fee to sexually assault us to be $11.20 round trip.

Thanks, Paul Ryan (RINO). Sexually assault us and raise our taxes to do it.
