I read a description of the bill in the WSJ and guess what, it sucks!

The new spending is now and the cuts (which are less than the spending) is spread out of 10 years. There arfe some marginal savings on fed employee pensions but they only apply to new hires and not to the current army of bloodsuckers.

Ryan sold out, we get nothing out of this deal.

Look here, this isn’t bean bag anymore, and beanbag rules with ruffles isn’t going to work. The pace of our decline leaves no time for paddy cakes and compromise with outright Marxists in charge.

They own you already. Let’s not wait for total collapse to stop the cocktail diplomacy with these s.o.bees.

“Keep the sequester for a start.

I agree, but that is a tactic, not a principle. And, fortunately, Obama and the Dems are most likely stuck with the sequester for the foreseeable future unless the Republicans trade it away for increased defense spending. We need a stronger, smarter military but not necessarily more defense spending. As someone who worked for a defense contractor, and was a consultant to the DoD, I understand the massive waste inherent in an outdated force structure, foolish procurement policies, and the like.

“IMO, I think Rubio and Ryan are competing for the 2016 prize.”

If that is to be Ted Cruz’s VP choice they are both mistaken.

And that is why we should not support the Ryan Murray deal. The military cuts are not that bad and we have real fiscal restraint under the current sequester deal. The deal provides for increased revenue, expanded government, and miniscule “savings” 10 years down the road. It’s a losing proposition. We should offer up a clean CR for another year and let the Dems do what they will. They could accept it or choose to shut down the government. If they do shut down the government (not a certain thing), what makes anyone think that the public will react like they did in October – before they realized that Cruz was right and Obama and the Dems lied to them?

We did get something. We did get no more money for the unemployed zombies who have been collecting since practically 2008. We are VERY lucky we got that. Dems wanted extending the already too long unemployment even longer. Conservatives put their foot down on that.

Shutdown hurts GOP more than the Rats in 2014 election.

Where’s your evidence for that?

“Gop is in no position to dictate deals. Losers in elections have no power.”

Nonsense. We hold the House, so we can make sure no spending bills get passed unless they include cuts. We have as much power as we have the guts to exercise.

I considered Ryan to be one of the rising stars of conservative politics. I guess I may be wrong.

Did Boehner pass around some KoolAid during recess?

Ryan drank the KoolAid of Blind Ambition some time ago. He has no core values.

Ryan IS an idiot and he is purposely striving to destroy conservative initiatives but not singlehandedly. He has lots and lots of help” Boehner, Cantor, McCarthy, McConnell, Cornyn, LAMAR!!!, Murkowski, Cochrane, and a host of other spineless stooges.

riverdawg:

Then, don't you understand that electing Romney, keeping Boehner in control and putting McConnell and their ilk in control is NOT the same as "we" having control of anything? Nor will GOP-E control of anything be better than what we have now in the White House and Senate. Telling ourselves pretty little lies that the GOP-E would be any better does not make it so. Scorched earth. Nothing less will do.

Paul Ryan (RINO) raised taxes on air fare then claims he didn’t raise taxes in this budget deal.

Paul Ryan’s (RINO) budget deal makes the TSA fee to sexually assault us to be $11.20 round trip.

Thanks, Paul Ryan (RINO). Sexually assault us and raise our taxes to do it.

I'm not a fan of either Boehner or McConnell, but if you think they are indistinguishable from Obama and Harry Reid then I suppose you and I will have to agree to disagree.

“1200 dollar suits, 400 dollar shoes, 60 dollar socks ... “

That’s actually cheap in today’s fashion. What you described is typical Nordstrom’s fare, nothing special.

Try $6,000 suits, $400 shorts, $240 ties, $1,200 shoes, and $60 socks.
