Nordstrom’s isn’t cheap, but I do agree with you about our “royal” politicians.

Yes! Senators and Representatives should ALWAYS read the legislation ... in exhaustive detail ... BEFORE debating it and voting on it.

No one but the left wing media paid any attention to the “shutdown” and us wonks on blogs.

The average dude out there didn’t have a clue. And the vast majority didn’t have anything effected.

It’s like when Dems attack a GOP president and lie about the economy. Interviews with individuals are usually, “I’m doing just fine but since I read the economy sucks I guess someone is suffering” and that kind of stupid thinking.

But, but, but...it worked so well for GHW Bush when he broke his “read my lips” promise and got 2 dollar in cuts for every 1 dollar raised!

Well, they had full power in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 and what did they do?

NOTHING but spend like Dems, talk like Dems, try and shove amnesty down out throats like Dems, grew the size of government like Dems, etc.

I’m tired of the “we only have one half of one third of government” excuse to shove what little principles they have out the door.

Didn’t stop the Dems when they lost the Senate but actaully gained power in a 51-49 split because Trent Lott thought he would be nice.

Face it, these Republicans are mostly useless.

Why? They never accomplished any of these objectives when they DID have total control.

lol if House could pass the laws, you would be right.

Please tell me what spending cuts the House has been able to end up in ACTUAL LAW signed by president ZERO. Nothing becomes law unless senate agrees and ZERO signs it. I thought every one who posts here knows that.

Obamacare is ALREADY a law. House can not overturn it by themselves.

FIRST YOU MUST WIN ELECTIONS...ONLY THEN YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO FIGHT FOR YOUR AGENDA.

You and I agree 100% on that.
Obamacare is a gift handed to GOP on a silver platter.
But only if GOP is smart enough to use it as #1 issue.

It raises taxes and pushes any spending cuts a decade out, meaning they will never happen

Exactly right. This is the same bullsh*t approach that got us $17,000,000,000,000 plus in debt.

Stop with the straw man arguments.

There are no elections in December 2013.

The strategy should be to win in 2014 with conservative candidates who can win elections.

Follow Ronald Reagan’s advice and support the most conservative candidate who can get elected. Stay away from politically naive candidates like Mourdock & Akin.

Because MSM (where majority of low info voters get their info) will do exactly the same thing they did in the last shutdown...blame republicans.

Which won’t be won by a party that stands for nothing. I think Mark Levin had it pegged yesterday. You don’t win unless you fight. I’m tired of the Republican Party fighting its base. The base gets to drive the bus for a change.

You can’t keep losing elections if you are going to have ANY Chance to win conservative agenda.

Elections have consequences.

Not the entire party is liberal/RINO’s. I am in awe of people like Cruz, Rand Paul, and Mike Lee. Paul defeated GOPe backed candidate in primary and then actually won in the general...because he is politically savvy.

The only chance we have is to keep supporting politically savvy conservative candidates in the coming elections.

I am all for replacing the RINO’s but only if we can find good candidates to replace them. Can you name me JUST ONE democrat who replaced a RINO in the last 2 or 3 elections, who is better for the conservative agenda?
