Now, it turns out, Ryan used a series of statements whose veracity is questionable at best to convince his colleagues to support the bill.
Ryans claim, for instance, that this plan ends up resulting in $23 billion in total deficit reduction is not true. Ryan and Murray did not ask the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) to estimate interest payments on the $63 billion in increased spending that will need to be borrowed for the first couple of years of the budget. As such, the CBO score does not represent the full financial picture of the plan.
A Senate GOP aide with direct knowledge of these matters whom Breitbart News contacted estimated the interest payments over the course of the 10-year budget window on the $63 billion that will need to be borrowed to be approximately $8 billion. That means the plan increases spending by $71 billion and only includes $15 billion in deficit reduction in the out years of the budget window.
When asked to respond to why Ryan did not seek a CBO score that included an estimate of the interest payments on the borrowed money, Ryan spokesman Will Allison told Breitbart News that the CBO does not as a matter of course include debt service in its cost estimates of legislation.

Another Paul Ryan article
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
Ah, the heroes of yesterday, how they have fallen.
Ahhhhhh!
Close enough for government work.
Ryan = toast
Obviously, Romney chose him because he is an establishment “team player.” He sought out Mark Levin to serve up his budget talk and Mark told him it was Mickey Mouse stuff.
Ryan has turned into as big a disappointment as Rubio.
The GOP seems to be crowded with politicians, but has few real statesmen.
Did Ryan twist the truth, is he too stupid to figure it out? Maybe he’s just a Ken doll with nothing upstairs. It’s obvious in the way he was flattened by Joe Biden during the VP debate. I made excuses for him just like all the other conservatives did. Maybe it’s time to let his actions speak for themselves.
He thinks that we're all stupid, and he's oh so clever.
Ryan is a sellout to anyone willing to stroke his ego.
“Office (CBO) to estimate interest payments on the $63 billion in increased spending that will need to be borrowed for the first couple of years of the budget.”
This is how Washington cuts spending? If they are “borrowing” money they are spending it. But I am sure this loan will get repaid.
They should all be swinging in the gallows.
Paul Ryan was with Jack Kemp and Rubio was with Jeb Bush.
Those were warning signs.

I thought it entertaining when Ryan used the excuse that he has to deal with Dems because HE(and Romney) lost to them last year,
I understand wanting to avoid a shutdown, but that excuse was pretty lame sounding.
I heard Ryan try to talk over and ignore Mark Levin’s questions several days ago. Ryan is a scammer.
Why yes he did. :-)
Prosperity is an obscenity to the left. Yet they need prosperity for their deep pocket to do what they want to do. When they get full control and kill the prosperity, their plans fall apart. They can’t do homeostasis and their bidding at the same time.
He seemed to be too deferential to Biden in the “debate”. He didn’t want big media claiming he had beaten up on a “senior citizen”. I think it’s probably though his own big government views that sunk him in th3e “debate”.
