Tea Party steps up war of words against Boehner over budget vote
Fox News ^ | December 14, 2013

Posted on 12/15/2013 4:19:39 AM PST by Olog-hai

Tea party activists are pushing back hard against Speaker John Boehner for attacking conservative groups that are opposed to bipartisan budget legislation approved this week by the House, claiming he has “declared war on the Tea Party” with his blunt criticism.

In a fundraising email to supporters, Tea Party Patriots referred to the Ohio Republican as a “ruling class politician” who only pretends to be a conservative while remaining a “tax-and-spend liberal,” The Hill reported Friday.

The group, which supported efforts to defund the Affordable Care Act, accused Boehner of passing a “back-room budget deal which increases discretionary spending, does nothing to reform entitlements, and fully funds ObamaCare.”

The organization called the deal “an out and out betrayal of the American people.” …

Understood. However, it just goes to show you how shallow some people’s resolve is.

To me, there is nothing more important than doing what you said you’d do to get in that office, and to succumb to the trappings of power and importance over constituents wishes is unpardonable.

I just cannot understand a man that goes against his constituents who would support him to the hilt for following through on his promises and opts to align himself...

Interesting take - thanks. Interesting to me b/c it does help explain/clarify how the issue of choice [one of my foci] affects politics. Libs do not include the choices that individuals make in their policy but conservs do.

Indeed i assert that some people do not even want choices - just be told. The world is full of people less capable than us. Don’t elect them lol

Resolve may be shallow, but the pressure on the soul of the person must be crushing there. How many can go into the depths of hell and emerge unscathed, you know?

I am not trying to justify people who do this, sorry if it comes off that way. Just saying I can see why it happens. And that is why I think we should limit the amount of time that people get to spend there. Dilute the darkness that region holds of the US and the rest of the world.

I am not sure if their incompetence is more frustrating, or the fact they lie to us, and use semantics like Clinton did to try to make us believe they are actually doing something. I still can’t figure out how Ryan’s lie about keeping the sequester cuts is actually supposed to be understood.

I don't know...

I just cannot understand a man [Collins?]...
that goes against his constituents [Collins goes against his constituents - I get that one I think]
... who [Collins?]
would support him [Collins?]
to the hilt for following through on his[whose?]
promises and opts to align himself... [whose self?]

Me either. Are the costs that are breaking the sequester [63 billion?] temporary? Will this budget, when expired, revert/return spending to the sequester level that was there prior to this "deal"? That's the only way I can come close to reconciling it....

My prior post was about Collins so I was talking about him, specifically. Yet, even it wasn’t about Collins, the word “man” then drives the meaning of the rest of the citations.

All the pronouns starting with “h”, refer to Collins (or ‘a man’).

‘who’ refers to ‘constituents’ (’who’ immediately following ‘constituents’).

I just didn’t feel the need to make a separate sentence for each of the referrals.

I knew when the Tea Party took the House and Boner was speaker an all he could do is cry.

There is no crying in Politics, we should have demanded a resignation then.

I am with you on Isakson and any “hand-picked” successor to Chambliss — and also concerning my own spineless GOP congressman after his betrayal on the Murray-Ryan debacle. “Lynnguini” Westmoreland betrayed the Third District when he sided with Patty Murray, John Lewis and John Boehner to give away the Sequester - for nothing except more and more spending. I have to wonder what dirt they have on Westmoreland.

I’d like to be a fly on the wall in the Senate Cloakroom, or the House Gym or any of the back rooms where these traitors have their off-the-record conversations.

My guess is the word “fools,” “cattle,” and “mindless sheep” are said often.

You’d think they’d be that kind? The GOPe despise Conservatives.

Rush had an interesting observation on zip codes and wealth distribution. Seems DC and GROWING surrounding areas have a very high dollar zip code. (Think this might color the GOPe thinking patterns? Me I sorta wonder......)

The question now is will Bonehead Ryno Cancer and Charlie McCarthy play Black Bart from Blazing Saddles and put a gun to America's head to kill the TEA party to suck up to the DNC and the Chamber of Amnesty.
They are whining because we are trying to make them live up to the promises they made to get elected and they don't like being held accountable. Worse they are using the weasels in the media to attack us and try to make us look unreasonable. THEY are the ones who are unreasonable they know it and we know it.

Unscathed is one thing; uncorrupted is another. Imagine how bad things would have been if Winston Churchill had submitted to Neville Chamberlain’s party line, for example.

The ONLY good thing that has come of this: "...bill is also designed to eliminate the threat of another budget shutdown like the one this fall."... and avoid letting the press distract people with "stories" about "republican shut downs" and "party of no."

Even that's not a good thing.

When Republicans don't fight on the budget you get two problems.

One, low info voters don't realize that there is a spending problem.

And two, voters who do think that there is a spending problem, can't tell the difference between a Republican and a Democrat.

It's time to change that losing strategy. Fight the Democrats on the budget, articulate the correct message, and let the press report what they want. Most people in the country don't trust the press anyway.

Any strategy short of that is giving the Democrats free rein to destroy the country. And that's exactly what has been happening.

"He also blamed them for the partial government shutdown"

Listen Boehner- you useless lying slug:

THE DEMOCRATS SHUT THE GOVERNMENT DOWN IN ORDER TO FORCE OBAMACARE ON THE AMERICAN PUBLIC.
THEY WERE SENT BILL AFTER BILL TO FUND THE GOVERNMENT, BUT NOT OBAMACARE. THERE WAS EVEN ONE BILL THAT ONLY ASKED FOR OBAMACARE TO BE DELAYED FOR A YEAR-THE DEMOCRATS REFUSED THEM ALL. THAT IS HOW THE DEMOCRATS CAUSED THE SHUTDOWN!!!!!!!!!

The only reason the public believes republicans caused it is because the useless lying media kept repeating this falsehood over and over, while you and the other lazy rinos said nothing to counter it.

Imagine if you had put 1/100th of the efforts you have made to fight conservatives, into fighting against Obamacare.

We need to start calling these people what they really are: Moderate democrats- And they need to get out of our party and go back to their true party-the democrat party

They must want to lose,

For them, it's the "tea party", not the dems that are the enemy to be defeated. Notice how they were all conservative when it was about no higher taxes wor the wealthy? They still get that, and we get insulted.

The arrogance of the elite is what's appalling.
