A Rio Rancho teen just wanted to dress up for the holidays at his school. Other kids dressed as Santa, so he did too. Now, his teacher is under fire for a comment he made that some parents are calling racist. Students at Cleveland High School were told they could dress up as Santa, elves or reindeer. But when a black student chose to be Santa Claus, he was called out for the color of his skin. "Christopher, don't you know Santa Claus is white? Why are you wearing that?" Michael Rougier remembered. When Rougier learned that is how a teacher reacted to his child when he showed up to school wearing Santa hat and beard, he was livid. "There's no room for that in the classroom," Rougier said. "Whether this teacher felt Christopher may have been wearing this out of context, there's no room for it. There's just no room for it." A spokesperson for Rio Rancho Public Schools says the Cleveland High School teacher knows he made a "dumb" mistake, and that he has since apologized to the Rougier family.
Didn’t the teacher’s mother ever tell her Santa is not a real person?
In today’s world, that is a REAL crime. We haven’t heard the end of it.
But when a black kid kills a white old man, that’s nothing.
All these troublemakers should be given a drawing of Santa Claus and a box of crayons and told to color it in.
Then we will all find out how racist they are.

Again, second-hand knowledge. This has an odor to it.
That said, if I, (a pasty-white XPian male over 50) was accused of the same, I’d simply apologize (through a surrogate, like this) and try to disappear too.
Such a situation is ^designed^ to be a conflagration for the racist lust of the media.

That teacher could sue for slander for the racism accusation.
If the teacher actually said this, it was probably a joke, one that invited some similarly “cute” riposte from the kid. But evidently we’re too touchy for that in the Age of Obama.
Apparently, the teacher came to school playing the part of that small, pink, puckered opening located just under the base of Rudolph’s tail...
