Cracker Barrel is a major sponsor at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. This type of pandering is not going to sit well with the God-fearing folks that frequent that establishment. They could be in danger of losing that very lucrative relationship ala Dixie Chicks.

A friend just called me - said she was in the BX at the Coast Guard base and they have Duck Commander t-shirts for $7.50 - said people were buying them buy the cartload - said a few said to her that they’ve never watched the show but they’re so po’d about this that they were buying one for every member of their family.....love it!

The ABC article sights "Cracker Barrel's reversal of its former position was posted this morning to Facebook, following a flurry of negative responses from customers and fans who showed support to the patriarch of the "Duck Dynasty" family." That's kind of like saying the Rodney King LA riots represented a "flurry" of discontent regarding the verdict in the trial of the officers involved.
From the tone of the article, ABC seems to be tying itself into knots - trying to placate the GLAAD types while reluctantly acknowledging the truth, which is their side has been maneuvered into a lose/lose situation and have been outplayed by a 67 year old duck hunting "redneck", former LSU quarterback (...with a masters degree and a boatload of money.)
ABC is not happy, happy, happy.

Read on another thread that the owners are Democrats. I have to conclude that the decision wasn’t knee-jerk, but completely reflected their ideology. The reversal was purely about the $$$.
