1. He didn't seek to insult anyone
The calm and considered belief that homosexuality is sinful is very different from the immature and foolish belief that homosexuals are "gross", "icky", "sick" or any one of a number of childhood forms of insult. He didn't single a specific person out, nor did he suggest that homosexual individuals as a whole have something wrong with them. He simply described his view of homosexuality. Although some could find his view offensive, it is equally possible that someone could find the opposite view offensive. Axing someone for having a reasonable view is a mistake.

The whole thing was an over-reaction.
Yes, but the article is unbelievable mushy for a publication that claims to be Christian.
God condemns homosexuality in the Bible in no uncertain terms. Preach the gospel to all sinners without attempting to sugarcoat it. Speak the truth in love, but don’t make apologies for it.
The reason GLAAD and its supporters in the mainstream media attacked so viciously is because they know they must marginalize and delegitimize any criticism or questioning of homosexual propaganda. Hillary Clinton desperately wants to be President. She will be confronted with questions and revelations regarding her sexuality. Homosexuals want such questions to be politically incorrect and wish to disparage anyone who asks them.
"The company has made it my responsibility today to put
an end to 100,000 years of being weirded out by gays."
Becoming an adult did not suddenly make me think homosexual behavior and activities were no longer gross, icky, and sick.
Two pillow bitters sodomizing each other is gross, icky, and sick.
Half/full naked dudes twerking on each other in a parade is gross, icky, and sick.
Homosexuality is a mental sickness of a person given over to a reprobate mind.
Karma is really something, isn't it... ;-)
The Robertson family holds all the cards.
No kidding. It will always remain gross, icky and sick.
Two dudes playing around in their own excrement for sexual satisfaction? Sick, disgusting and perverted.
Only GLAAD became unhinged over Phil’s comments. Other pro-gay groups did not.
I think we ought to hold GLAAD accountable.
Call your lawmakers...
Demand al-a-carte cable offerings. Screw bundled cable.
Let A&E stand on its own...or fail on its own.
So far, he’s showing G-dly people are so far out ahead of pillow biters.
As I said days ago, and others have also said....what Phil did is SOMEWHAT describe what body parts homos go after....giving it “optics” is what I am sure the homo fascists are really pissed off about.....anyone who thinks about it has to be grossed out! He got people THINKING about the act...
9. Because Cracker Barrel sucks and needed a reason to publicly say so?

Phil Robertsons dilemma was clear: how do you communicate sin as sinful to a sin soaked culture? His answer was as wise as it was effective. He used both Natural Law and revelation to clearly convey his point. Natural Law is the truths communicated through the design of nature. They are self evident by design. When Phil described and contrasted gay anal sex with Gods design of a womans vagina, his point became immediately clear to nonbelievers. THAT is what made GLAAD so furious. Everyone, be they believer or nonbeliever immediately understood what he was saying and it made sense to almost everyone.
Then he followed it up by using revelation (the Bible) to drive home his point with Christians. By quoting I Corinthians 6:9-10, he also provided the spiritual foundation for his beliefs and thus persuaded a vast number of people that he was right. But it was his use of Natural Law that fulfilled Ephesians 6:11 Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them. Exposing that which is done in darkness to the light infuriated gay activists because people whether believer or unbeliever immediately grasped his point.
Phil Robertson is not only a good communicator. He is a good theologian.
Based on what I've read, sodomy is the least of their yuck-inducing behaviors.
See my post at #16. Excellent comment to an article about all this.
Isn't only on the catcher the pillow bitter?
Which is the absolute last thing they want. I once knew a woman who had been a physician working emergency rooms in a major metropolitan area. She was always regaling me with stories of having to provide emergency treatment to faggots subsequent to their committing various excesses in the course of making "gay love." Entertaining stuff, but in a very disgusting way.
