The democrat party of today would hardly exist if we had treason trials when they were called for. Of course the demonRats are opposed to them.

“What motivation would congressional Democrats have for wishing to neutralize the death penalty option for such serious crimes? “

That should be obvious. The democrat party, like its fearless leader, has nothing against anyone who betrays this country.

Pushing through the ACA without giving anyone time to read it firs qualifies as treason in my book.

Nothing happens in Washington without a reason
Because they removed the death row for treason

There, I made it rhyme....

>>Bad formatting, bad link.

Unless it was changed, the link worked for me.

Could have used a few paragraph breaks though.

Selective re-editing of the ACA act by the executive branch is treason as well...

So is the non-enforcement of immigration laws and border security, the selective enforceemnt of laws, the abdication of the law via illegal treaties and arrangements with the UN...

I could go on and on....

This, combined with Dirty Harry’s nuclear warfare in the Senate to get judges in place quickly.

I can see treason trials following the removal of this rotten bastard from office along with his evil henchmen.

But I doubt the death penalty would be the result.

Treason trials? Hah! Who would initiate them? A GOP afraid of its own shadow? We are in the midst of the biggest Constitutional Crisis this nation has faced since the Civil War and it refuses to lift a finger to do anything about it. We are no longer a nation of laws; we have overnight become a banana republic where whatever El Caudillo says is the law of the moment.

The democrat party of today would hardly exist if we had treason trials when they were called for.

The Republican party is not innocent either.
Take, for example, the War on Drugs; it's justification is the commerce-clause which lists the states at the same level as foreign nations. If the federal government were to assert the same control over the buying and selling in foreign nations as it claims in interstate- (and intrastate-… and non-) commerce it would be rightly seen as an act of war and forcing the enforcement thereof would be consequent of waging that war. So then, the War on Drugs is rightly seen as a war on the several states, which fits the Constitution's definition of treason.

E. Pluribus Unum :"... It’s been fixed. It was bad."

That's what Zero has been saying for the last 3 years !
Too bad he 'misppoke' 39 times in front of the press about keeping your healthcare , your doctor, or your "period" .
Benghazi was treason
Fast and Furious was treason ,for both the USSA and Mexico
IRS political supression of the Tea Party could be considered treason .. if you draw out the logical impact .
Irresponsible funding of international terrorists could be considered treasonous
Irresponsible running up the national debt into bankruptcy could be considered treasonous.
Gee .., I have no idea why Demorats would want to lesson the penalty of treason , .. do you ?
Maybe they are plannning some future heinious crime , like estabilshing a dictatorship .. !! Naw that can't happend here !!
