State police have charged a western Pennsylvania woman with putting child pornography on a computer in an unsuccessful effort to frame her estranged husband.

Online court records don't list an attorney for 42-year-old Meri Jane Woods, of Cherry Hill Township, who also doesn't have a listed phone.

nd the funny part is that the majority of single women reading this will, within the hour, lament on the fact that there are so few men willing to commit to marriage.

I'll marry absolutely any woman at all.

For exactly one night.

Annulled in the morning.

I cannot imagine what you went through. At least you could prove you were innocent.

Me too. But while I was staying with my best friend, I made sure to buy something every time I left his house. I kept the receipts because they all have a date and time on them.

I drove the speed limit everywhere I went so that all the times would jibe.

I knew that when I was at his house, he or his wife would alibi me, and when I was at work, the biometrics at the access gates would be solid proof.

Yes. There are a host of viruses and other malware that allow you to take over a computer and put whatever you want on it, often in hidden files the owner of the computer doesn’t even know are there and can’t see on a standard OS.

This is similar to the fact that it isn’t difficult to break into your car and hide meth inside the doors, then report you to the cops. Same of course applies to your house, etc.

We’re not nearly as safe as we often think we are.

Under the Law of Moses, a false accuser was subject to the penalty for whatever he had accused another of. Which often included the death penalty.

I think that makes perfect sense.

My son has been watching videos from a DefCon conference. One of the speakers talked about such a case, where all kinds of incriminating evidence was found on the guy’s computer. Lucky for him, his ex-wife did not know about date-time stamps on files, and none of the evidence dated from when he still lived with her (he had left the computer in the house when he left).

I wonder if this is the same case, or a similar?

The scary thing is that - had the police not done a proper investigation, and the guy had been charged - most people would be calling for him to be tortured to death by the other inmates.

I am sad to say that most Freepers would be calling for his immediate execution or at the least, a long prison stay in which this man would be repeatedly raped by other inmates. And anybody defending this man and calling for a fair trial would be absolutely ridiculed and shunned.

I don't think people realize just how easy it is to get framed for something you did not do in modern day America.

All it takes is one false accusation to utterly and totally destroy your life. Sadly, this man is also tarnished. Even though the accusation has been proved false, he shall forever more live under a shadow of guilt.

Cherry Hill is in New Jersey, not Pennsylvania.

Cherry Hill is to Philly what the San Fernando Valley is to Los Angeles.

Then the corporation hires an outside lawyer to investigate, despite having its own underworked legal department, this to “guarantee impartiality”, the lawyer is a woman (of course), who assures the accused that no, men don’t always lose, and there is a man out there, she instantly pulls out an example, all ready for such conversations, who she says won a million dollars suing a corporation over sucha false accusation. And in the end, the guilty is found guilty. Not very guilty (he keeps his job), but guilty anyway and penalized.

“Even though the accusation has been proved false, he shall forever more live under a shadow of guilt.”

Hmmm. I suspect he won’t remarry, either.
