The Declaration of Independence? Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? Meh. That's so, like, 18th century. No, Ed Schultz has come out with a new declaration of what he calls the Four Pillars of American Life: health care, jobs, education and equality.
Schultz promulgated his manifesto on the year-in-review episode of his MSNBC show today.

Gee, and what do conservatives offer instead?
*Good Health Care, *Good Jobs*, *Good Education*, and *Equality Of Opportunity*. But they also offer *National Security*, from out enemies, both foreign and domestic; the *Right To Work* for yourself and your family, not government and not in a union, if you don’t want to. Conservatives also offer *Freedom Of Religion*, not “freedom from religion”. They also offer *The Right To Bear Arms*.
Importantly, right now, conservatives offer *Less Government*. Less government to be a money wasting, future destroying, regulatory monster to interfere with their lives, to horn in where it is not wanted, and to hurt people in the name of helping them.
This is totally bogus. He didn’t mention beer.

When I’ve seen Mr. Ed I always thought he was just playing a part putting us on. I really have to suspend belief to think that someone could be such a doofus.
