The victims, a man and woman, told deputies the suspect tried to force his way into the home at gunpoint, placing a woman who lived at the home in a choke hold. They added that the woman was able to alert her husband, who confronted the suspect with a gun.
Lt. Sheila Cole with the Anderson County Sheriff's Office said the male victim, described as a 78-year-old man, was airlifted to the hospital, having suffered a gunshot to his stomach.
Cole said the suspect returned fire before running from the scene and driving off in a black SUV.

Perp breaks into house. Perp strangles old girl. Old boy retrieves his weapon, shoots perp. Perp runs out house leaving a PARTING SHOT that injures victim.
Perp goes to the zoo and croaks. Old boy goes to the zoo and gets relieved of his lead poisoning.

I’ve noticed that even after a criminal is either dead or convicted they are still referred to as “alleged criminal.”
Agree with both points. Why in hell was this story pulled? It doesn’t have as happy an ending as some, but as long as the perp took the dirt nap, it’s a good one.
Thanks for saving the taxpayers the expense of ANOTHER trial and imprisonment.
I wish SOBs (Sons of Barack) weren’t thugs, but if they choose the path of violence, I can’t say getting gunned down in the process is all bad. At least they save us the cost of incarcerating them, but what a waste of human potential. Live by the sword. Die by the sword.
