Do a “majority of Tea Party members” and “Tea Party activists” support raising the minimum wage? According to a segment on MSNBC, the answer is “yes.” However, if you actually ask leaders of some of the largest Tea Party organizations that question, the answer is a resounding, “No!”

-snip

About 1:38 minutes into the segment, former congressman and frequent MSNBC contributor Harold Ford stated, “Chuck Todd said the majority of Tea Party members support an increase in the minimum wage.”

Since one cannot call the “Tea Party” on the phone and ask to speak to a spokesperson, how can they verify this?

I’m in favor of raising the minimum wage. Heck, if $15 is good, think how good $50 per hour would be. Damn greedy corporations. /sarc

First, the "New York Times" lies about Benghazi and Al Qaeda, and now...this! As followers of Saul Alinsky are groupies of the devil as Saul Alinsky was, lying would not be a problem.

Incidentally, in Communist Massachusetts, where I live, there were some people collecting signatures to raise the minimum wage in the Communist Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I argued with one of the Commies trying to wage the minimum wage and he argued that there were these secret squirrel studies that show the minimum wage leads to decreased unemployment. I made deprecating gestures to let this guy know I thought what he was saying was bogus. I then closed with the basic law of economics where I said that if you raise the price of something you get less of it. The price of labor is wages and if one raises wages; i.e., prices, one is going to get less of it. I know he wouldn't listen to me, but at least I wanted to be perhaps the only dissident voice in the Communist Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Has anyone ever suggested lowering the MAXIMUM wage. There was a big flap locally about Walmart coming to town. I checked Forbes CEO Compensation on Google and found that the Walmart CEO’s salary is $20 million a year. This does not include his company stock. Actually, the stockholders of Goldman Sachs did force the lowering of their CEOs salary when 43% of them voted in favor of a Stockholders’ Advisory on CEO Compensation. That scared the CEO enough to lower his salary from $74 million to a puny $26 million around ‘08 or ‘09.

Has anyone suggested it, are you joking. Only about a couple million leftists in last hundred years. Remember that guy with the funny goattee, VI Lenin, (shut up Donnie), he did. More up to date, the guy with the big ears, Obama, him too.

Uh, no MSNBC. Really MSNBC you can not simply go around making excrement up. It seems most of what spews from your studios is pure fantasy. Stop, it isn’t even remotely amusing anymore.

The vast majority of liberals want MSNBC to stop broadcasting.

Also liberals want MSNBC to become a conservative network. Yeah, really...it's true. I got it from the same source that gave out this 'Tea Party' flash...

And if that's not surprising enough - in a second survey it was found 98% of liberals wanted Harold Ford fired. Strange world.
