ABC, NBC mum on why gay wedding on Rose Bowl float wasn't part of TV coverage

(CNSNews.com) – The two television networks – ABC and NBC – that covered the 2014 Tournament of Roses parade live on Jan. 1 are not saying why the wedding of two men atop the AIDS Healthcare Foundation’s float was not part of their programming viewed by more than 60 million people around the world.

When CNSNews.com asked whether the wedding was covered and, if not, why not, ABC’s press office said there would be no official statement about the event and cited technical issues. NBC did not respond to the questions.

ABC ran a news article about the gay wedding on Jan. 1 saying the two homosexual men were “making history.”

“One hundred twenty-five years of tradition collided with change and controversy as the Rose Parade in Pasadena, Calif., today included a gay marriage ceremony on a float,” the article stated. “The theme of the parade was ‘Dreams Come True,’ and they evidently did for Danny LeClair and Aubrey Loots.”

The local paper in Pasadena, Calif., where the parade takes place each year, posted a story online with the headline: TV Stations Cut Away From Gay Marriage During Rose Parade.”

“Did you miss the gay wedding aboard the AIDS Healthcare Foundation float during the 125th Rose Parade?” the Jan. 1 article on the Pasadena Star News website states. “You're not alone.

“Multiple TV stations cut away from the float quickly or entirely during the Wednesday morning live broadcast,” the article stated. “Many took to Twitter to express their feelings about the decision.

I was only joking about ABC and NBC knowing gay marriage was just wrong. They are pro gay marriage 100%.

They are only afraid of pushing too far, too fast. And, it will happen. Their viewers will revolt and punish their sponsors. Just a matter of time, watch.

Marriage is between a man and a woman, no mater what a liberal judge says. I respect people who want to live private, different life styles. However, marriage cannot be redefined. Goes against nature.

Many took to Twitter to express their feelings about the decision.

They wont be using the word "buttsore" as that's a normal daily occurance for them.

I saw it, being a geezer I always watch KTLA who covered it with little fanfare.

ABC and NBC realize it is against its financial interests. :)

No, they’re scared to death about the truth: most people do not like all this f a g marriage garbage. They were scared to offend too many people.

But apparently the parade committee was not.

The local paper also noted in another Jan. 1 article that the AIDS float – made to resemble a giant wedding cake with the two men as toppers -- earned the Isabella Coleman Award for the “Best Presentation of Color & Color Harmony Through Floral Use.”

How sweet.

After the Duck Dynasty problems I think both networks were afraid to take any chances.

We had the parade on HGTV for some reason. That network is as gay friendly as they come and even though they showed the float, they way underplayed the coverage. I found that very interesting.

I refused to watch the Rose Parade, I have watched it in the past but I refused to watch them glorify such disgusting behavior. How about a float with a man and a woman getting married..oh good heavens no, they would never allow that! But they allow two fudge packers to get “married” on a float, disgusting! Oh and Im sorry but I dont care how many times they say it same sex “Marriage” is NOT marriage and never will be, period!

Well, the degeneracy lobby, either through accident or some weird random act of decency by the MSM, lost another chance to propagandize. After the Duck Dynasty debacle, too much more of this and we’ll have to break open the champagne.

I didn’t bother to watch the Rose Bowl Parade, and will never watch it in the future as a consequence of their imprimatur on degeneracy. Thanks NetAddicted.

Yes, even ABC and NBC realize gay marriage is just wrong!

Nope. They realized that a large part of the country thinks it's just wrong, and sick.

Yes, exactly. They are afraid, and soon they will have to choose between offending their gay friends and their financial interests. Will be interesting.

I predict they will push too far, and their will be a big backlash affecting their sponsors. This could have been it, but they blinked.

Yes, forgive me; I was just having a little fun. They are 100% pro gay, and it will blow up in their (and their sponsors) faces!

The Aids charity that sponsored the float probably spent up to $100,000 on the float with the hope of getting some return for their advertising money and two major networks cut them out. Sucks for them.

I did not watch the parade for the first time in 20 years because of the Homosexual wedding. I think I will skip it again next year.

Per Wikipedia, the Rose Parade hosted one hetero marriage in its history.

Last year - 2013.

So, it appears to me the hetero marriage in 2013 was a setup for the homo sham in 2014.

I did not watch - and I am highly unlikely to EVER watch another Rose Bowl Parade.

I’m about as fed up as I can be...
