New translation of Hebrew text reveals legend of Ark of the Covenant
Fox News ^ | 01/09/2014 | Owen Jarus

A newly translated Hebrew tells a tale claiming to reveal where treasures from King Solomon's temple were hidden and discusses the fate of the Ark of the Covenant itself.

But unlike the Indiana Jones movie "Raiders of the Lost Ark," the text leaves the exact location of the Ark unclear and states that it, and the other treasures, "shall not be revealed until the day of the coming of the Messiah son of David " putting it out of reach of any would-be treasure seeker. But don't put on your Indiana Jones costume just yet; the text's translator says the book is likely just early Jewish folklore.

Rumor has it that they flew it out of Ethiopia when they brought out the Jewish refugees.

Davila is a reputable scholar.
But the document in question may or may not have validity in that it could, as he has indicated, be a fictional account.
Meanwhile, the enemy within (Islamics in Israel) have been busy digging out and destroying everything they can find of any historical or religious value, including right under the Temple Mount where some early accounts placed the Ark of the Covenant

if it was under there, the Muslims have probably already destroyed it.

we will see... all this is indeed most fascinating!

And how do today's graduates in Communication and tomorrow's journalists write?

One needs to consider that the temple mount, Mt Moriah, is much larger than just what is currently considered as “the Temple Mount”. the Calvary escarpment is actually a break which divided the mountain into two halves.

The northern half is (was) outside the city boundary proper and is also there Christ was crucified.

Calvary which is also known as “the place of the skull” is reputed to be where David buried the skull of the giant Goliath. It is also reputed by Ron Wyatt to be where the Ark of the Covenant is buried.

It is interesting to note that the site excavated by Ron Wyatt back in the 90s has/is recently been/being excavated by the Israeli authorities who seem to believe that Ron Wyatt was/is correct in his statements that is where the Ark is located.

It has been stated that many of the Temple treasures have been buried along with the Ark and they will all be brought out when God is ready for them.

Revelation 11: 9 NASB
And the temple of God which is in heaven was opened; and the ark of His covenant appeared in His temple, and there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder and an earthquake and a great hailstorm.

It probably won’t be found, because in the World to Come, people will no longer be concerned with its whereabouts.

It’s mentioned in Revelation (as posted above) and the temple will be rebuilt. I think the fact that the curtain separating the ark was torn on the day Jesus died has significance to Him at least.

Perhaps it’s worth mentioning that another name for the ARK given in the bible is “Ark of the testimony”. The Ark was/is to remain as a testimony to b recovered/uncovered in the last days as an absolute testimony of God and his dealings with the Hebrews.

There is a passage in the bible which states that truth shall spring forth from the earth in the last days. This believed to relate to the reappearance of the Ark and the testimony that it brings of God.

It has been considered that it is this testimony which brings the Jews back to their faith and reconciles them to God from whom many have departed.

It might also be construed that the Truth which springs forth from the Earth might also/or relate to Christ Himself who is the embodiment of the Holy Spirit who is also called “The Spirit of Truth”.

Perhaps the bible references relating to the truth springing forth from the Earth like many biblical prophecies has dual meanings and can correctly be applied to the recovery of the Ark and other Temple treasures as well as referring to Christ.

Both references when considered would have a very positive bearing on the Jews returning to God in the last days as foretold in the bible.

I am anxiously awaiting the recovery of the Ark if we are still around when that happens. That recovery might possibly precede the Rapture although it may also be withheld until after the Rapture to provide the justification for the Jews return to God and them taking up their ministry after the Rapture.

Regardless, these are certainly great and interesting times to be living in as a Christian expecting the soon return of the Lord.
