The guy is a jerk. We knew that. I wasn’t going to vote for him before (what Republican would?) and I won’t vote for him now. The whole thing is a yawn fest, but it helps the media avoid talking about any actual problems.

Of course Gov. Bluto knew about the lane closures. Who would know more about clogged arteries than Christie?

“But he didn’t. All sounds pretty damning to me.”

I agree... If he didn’t know about it ahead of time,it seems clear that with something as disruptive as this, he would have ask after a few hours.

He’s responsible, period.

No but I’m not a scumbag either.

One of the things that impressed me most about Ted Cruz was during the first filibuster with Rand Paul and Cruz spoke about doing the right thing no matter what.

It has nothing to do with an election and everything to do with basic morals.

I have this nagging thought that the demoRats set him up.

His cronies did that. At least one of them was even a friend since childhood.

If Christie did not know, he is incompetent and allowed his staff to run wild.

If he did know, then he is culpable.

Neither puts him a good light. Yes, he was quick to apologize -- months after the actual traffic slowdown. But his presser was about him and how sad he was and how angry he was that his cronies betrayed him. WHAT ABOUT THE CITIZENS WHO WERE INCONVENIENCED BY THIS PETTY AND VINDICTIVE ACTION? Two already submitted their resignations. A third got fired.

That presser question 'are you a bully?' will haunt any future electoral aspirations he may have.

Totally agree. I am just amazed at how fast thousands of emails have been obtained and released...compared to Benghazi, IRS, Gun Running....

Democrats can get away with anything and all...even if they did a stunt like killing a puppy in front of TV...liberals and Democrats would spin it like this...Puppy was sick and needed to be put of misery because it was the humane thing to do....people will vote and vote and vote for Democrats no matter what...

Then you have NSA spying on Congress members...who knows what dirt they have on all of them...so they will toe to Obama....I just don’t think Republicans and/or Conservative will ever win Presidentcy again.....

But the press fails to see how Obama was a bully from his pulpit....closing WH tours, Parks, Vietnam wall,etc....

Republicans never get a pass, if they so much as fart side-wise they apologize and resign....Not that I think Christie should get a pass on this...just talking about the history of hypocriptcy...

I understand why liberals want to milk this lame story as long as possible. They plan to use it to hammer all GOP, conservative or Tea Party people. The screw-the-working-taxpayer party wants to permanently shift the narrative and make the GOP the bigger enemy of those who go to work everyday. This fits that plan perfectly.

I don't understand why so many conservatives are giddly helping them. I think in echo chambers like this, they fixate on the intra-party conservatives vs. moderates, tea party vs. GOP-e battle. That's a real battle, which we just won regarding Christie, but most morons out there don't even see any such distinction. We are one big happy party to them. Christie is Palin is McCain is Cruz.

Christie's political future is over. That's a win for conservatives, but its time to start using this scandal to highlight the absurd amount of coverage this story got compared to any Obama scandal. The way the media demanded answers here when they have no interest in answers from Democrats.

And the way Christie fired those he saw as responsible, turned over all the documents, apologized to the citizens for the people he put in positions of power that hurt their interests, stood in front of a hostile press and answered questions for over an hour, etc.

Christie's done. We need to start worrying about the fall out for future elections and stop helping the leftists make this story bigger than the moon landing.

I see. You must be uninformed or a RINO. Only a RINO would defend Christie and only someone unfamiliar with his track record and who thinks he is a conservative would do the same thing.

Maybe you should talk to some of the people who are conservatives in New Jersey and really know what this guy has pulled and what he is. You might become enlightened.

Bridgegate has done us conservatives a favor. Christie is right there with John McCain, Boehner, McConnell. Rove and the rest of them.

Good riddance.

Oh that terrible unwavering moral standard.
If only conservatives would become the same sort of “anything someone on our side does is okay” sh!theads as the Democrats, then the Republican party would be okay.

No.

If the Repulican party is going to be what Christie is then it is better that it collapse.

The liberals are eating their own here. Conservatives are taking out rotting trash and hosing out the garage.

Nobody said he was a conservative.

Your use of strawman arguments is just one more liberal tactic.
