As a Republican hoping that my party will retake the White House in 2016, I watched with intense interest as New Jersey Governor Chris Christie talked and talked and talked his way out of Bridgegate.
.......................................................
But what I am referring to is the Herculean task set before Christie of winning the 2016 Republican nomination given that the conservative wing and primary-controlling base voters are ferociously anti-Christie for numerous political and policy reasons, among them Medicaid expansion and gun control just for starters.

I first ran across Myra Adams when she was at PJMedia. She was a McCain supporter in 2008 and a Romney-bot in 2012. She is back for 2016 in the tank for Christie. She has written the same basic article, just change the GOP name from McCain to Romney to Christie and change the Democratic from Obama to Clinton, that only GOPe candidates can win. For some reason the results from the past two POTUS elections has not lead her to reconsider her position. I guess she found a home at the RINO reservation at The Daily Beast along with David Frum and Stuart Stevens. She should feel right at home.

I have a hunch that the same powers that stopped Hillary 6 years ago, will stop her again. I do not believe these people want the Clintons back. I am watching for a new young star in the democrat to be hyped in the near future. I could be quite wrong of course, as I often, but I have a feeling that the Clintons will not be back.

Whom do we have, really, who could get through the media gauntlet???
No one.
If Palin couldn’t do it, Cruz can’t.
Not one of us is tough enough or has a pulpit from which to fight the media. Forget “running a true conservative.” He or she can’t get their voice out. If they haven’t started trying to reach around the mainstream and talk to Americans by today, we are left with no one.

Palin isnt interested. Cruz is our only hope. Cruz - West. Romney should have had Alan West as the VP candidate. I am open to other options.

why is the left even worried about Christie? they should be more concerned about Cruz.Dems are already losing hispanics, so you can just add to the losses of the dem’s vote to a “Presidente Cruz”. aka, “El Presidente’ Cruz”.

If Jim DeMint ran, he’d be a shoe-in.

How the heck did we ever reach the point as a nation where someone like Hillary Clinton can even be considered for political office? ANY political office. I know the answer, but still.

The GOP can run anyone against Hillary in 2016 and win in a monster landside. This assumes Hillary is still alive and wins the DNC primary herself. Not as many people like Hillary as the media thinks.
To: Maceman
Well.. Cruz is great for conservatives, but America is a center-left country. The media painted Cruz as a nutcase and the culprit for the government shutdown. It’s a battle of the narratives and currently the prevailing narrative is Hillary is some great savior who will have more success shoving Obama’s “hope and change” agenda down our throats. The only potential showstopper for Hillary would be her health. Look for the dems to then push a leftist Hispanic to take her place.
