Obama On Executive Actions: ‘I’ve Got A Pen And I’ve Got A Phone’

WASHINGTON (CBS DC/AP) — Calling for “all hands on deck” to assist the economy, President Barack Obama is urging his Cabinet to identify ways to keep his administration relevant to people struggling in the up-and-down recovery.

With two weeks left before delivering an economy-focused State of the Union address to Congress, Obama is picking up the pace of his jobs message and demonstrating how he can advance his economic agenda administratively and through his ability to coax action from important interest groups.

“We’re not just going to be waiting for legislation in order to make sure that we’re providing Americans the kind of help they need. I’ve got a pen and I’ve got a phone,” Obama said Tuesday as he convened his first Cabinet meeting of the year.

Jefferson, Madison, Gallatin, and Monroe took the Feds to task with the Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions to invalidate Adams and the Federalist Alien and Sedition Acts. The A&S acts were the Federalists way to silence the Republicans and the Resolutions reversed the unconstitutional and biased law. Why can't our Congressmen or Senators invalidate Obama and Obamacare with the same tactics?

Because the US system of education and social reinforcement has been taken over by the Left to produce something akin to the Gammas, Deltas, and Epsilons of Brave New World. Such creations will never see the truth and will follow Obama no matter what.

The Virginia and Kentucky Resolutions didn't "reverse" anything. Some parts of the Alien and Sedition Acts are still on the books, although the most offensive provisions were permitted to expire by President Jefferson.

The resolutions were not accepted by the federal authority of the time. Patrick Henry, who normally stood with the states, condemned the resolutions as treasonous because he believed they would lead to secession and civil war.

Buy a copy of States' Rights and the Union by Forrest McDonald. It's the best book on federalism, and no library should be without it.

So Obama confirms the fact that he intends to be dictator.

Unfortunately, we have to wait until June to discover if he will be “made legal” dictator by SCOTUS after the arguments over his recess appointments yesterday.

When he says” We’re not going to wait for legislation” and that he has a pen and a phone, he is telling us to our face that he considers himself a dictator.

I doubt Congress or the Courts will do anything except confirm his Fuhrer status.

It is going to take We The Little People to defy and remove him and his host from power.

And that will not happen by any civil means. Not when he lessons of history are so clear.

Only through legislation can Obama obtain some of the most ambitious items on his economic agenda — from a higher minimum wage to universal preschool to an overhaul of immigration laws,

Notice how NONE of those items help small business?

What is equally amazing is the passivity of most Americans who are either ignorant or indifferent about executive abuse of power, They just don’t care so the arrogant Obama keeps ratcheting up his grab for more power.

Congress may as well go home. They no longer serve any legislative function.
