This just popped up in my email....

The National Weather Service issued a high-wind warning from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday for Turnagain Arm and higher Anchorage elevations like the Upper Hillside. The warning predicted southeast winds of 45 to 60 mph with gusts between 80 and 95 mph. (I’m not Hillside, but not that far away.)

Winds will increase steadily through the day and reach peak intensity in the afternoon, the weather service said in a bulletin. (Lovely!)

“People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind,” the bulletin said.

Good morning, E...((HUGS))...and thank you. The plow guy just came and cleaned my driveway. He was here yesterday too. When I left for work Thursday morning it was snowing like crazy, so the just cleaned driveway had about 3 new inches of snow.

Now they are saying a wind advisory starting about 9a and continuing til evening. And temps hovering around freezing. Not fun.
