Democrats must decide how far to bend on immigration
The Hill ^ | 1/20/14 | Russell Berman

Congressional Democrats and advocates for immigration reform will have to decide how much to bend as they await proposals from House Republicans that are likely to fall far short of what they have demanded.

House GOP leaders plan to release as soon as next week their principles for rewriting the nation’s immigration laws, a document that could be followed by a series of legislative proposals.

The principles are expected to be broad-brush in nature and emphasize border and interior security measures, but they are likely to include a first-ever official House GOP endorsement of legal status for many of the nation’s 11 million illegal immigrants, according to people familiar with the deliberations.

Left-leaning advocates say they are encouraged by the move and view it as another critical step in the GOP’s shift on immigration over the last several years.

“We feel like the dynamics in the House are definitely tilting in our favor right now,” said Marshall Fitz, director of immigration policy at the Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank.

Call your GOP rep this week in advance of their Jan. 29th Amnesty Summit in Maryland and tell them to tell Boehner, Rove, Bush and the Chamber of Commerce: NO AMNESTY! NO 3X INCREASE in H1B VISAS!

In the “lyin’ king’s” case, bending over would be until he touches his skinny ankles.

Democrats need to explain to the army of unemployed democrats just WHY they’re bringing in illegals to compete with them for jobs.

“Democrats need to explain to the army of unemployed democrats just WHY they’re bringing in illegals to compete with them for jobs.”

That’s not necessary. Democrats don’t need reasons for the Democrats-In-Chief’s actions. They only need instructions on how pronounced their goose-stepping should be in support of the fifth-column illegal alines.

IMHO

If anything like this passes, Obama will ignore the security measures and expand the amnesty portions of the law.

Interesting that the LA times did this.. Lou Dobbs reported this on CNN and it cost him his job. The only network we would see this on would be FOX.. All the others are staying away from it. Whether you are a Democrat or Republican this should be of great interest to you!

Just One State - be sure and read the last part..

This is only one State.................If this doesn’t open eyes, nothing will!

From the L. A. Times
1. 40% of all workers in L. A. County ( L. A. County has 10.2 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants working without a green card.

2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.

3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.

4. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal, whose births were paid for by taxpayers.

5. Nearly 35% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.

6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.

7... The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.

8 Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.

9. 21 radio stations in L. A. are Spanish speaking.

10. In L.. A. County 5.1 million people speak English, 3.9 million speak Spanish.. (There are 10.2 million people in L. A. County .)

(All 10 of the above facts were published in the Los Angeles Times)

Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on welfare. Over 70% of the United States ‘ annual population growth(and over 90% of California , Florida , and New York ) results from immigration. 29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens .

We are fools for letting this continue .

This is only one State...............If this doesn’t open your eyes nothing will, and you wonder why Nancy Pelosi wants them to become voters!

OH-OH,
But I still have yet to hear a single Dem say that they would a support an immigration bill that has no citizenship in it.

We will see what Dems say if the House GOP does this PR conference and it has no citizenship in it.

Getting more Dem voters voting is the Dems golden calf.

Let the 11 million illegals in. Let them live in California, NY and every other blue state.

There still will not be enough votes to sway any elections. California will still be blue. Blue states will still be blue. Businesses will still leave for red states which will create new jobs and new revenue for red states.

If the illegals come to a red state, make sure they are not welcome. No benefits and if caught are driven to the nearest blue state and dropped at the border.

Create a new business association, the CAL, commerce league of America. I am sure Hobby Lobby and Chick Fil A would want to be charter members. Do the same as the opponents of the AARP did for seniors.

What this will do is hasten the Detroitification every blue city in America. We are going there anyway. Might as well speed up the process.

Even though I have done this.. It will do no good.

They know we don’t want it.

They know big business does.

We don’t matter.

Democrats have to “bend”?

I have not seen the least bit of flexibility on their part since the halcyon days of Ted Kennedy’s “reforms” in 1965, as a part of the program that was included in Elbie Jay’s Great Society. It has always been “their way or the highway”, as they failed to even enforce the law as it was written back then.

A later tweak of the provisions of that law allowed greater numbers of “refugees” to enter, under the ever watchful gaze of Jimmy Carter, at which time, the illegal immigration began to explode.

When numbers of illegal immigrants crept up to some 2.7 million in 1985, Ronald Reagan signed a bill that granted them amnesty, in exchange for a much more strict limit on actual immigrations. Well, guess what, this was a HUGE incentive to break the law even more frequently, as “the Americans won’t care”, and there would be no prosecution.

We have dumb and dumber on immigration “reform”.

Build the cuffing fence.

You're probably right.

WE should go talk to on-the-street Democrats and ask them how they feel... Maybe they don't want 20 million new people to compete with for the few jobs available.

Replace the third person with first person and this sentence looks like it was written by Harry Reid.

What part of massive unemployment don't these jokers understand? Are they being paid to advocate for the American people or for the Mexican people?

Never mind deporting the illegals, perhaps we should deport congress. It seems they are far more dangerous for this country.
