Barbara Bush has spent recent weeks in the hospital for breathing difficulties. But before that the former First Lady granted a long interview to the calm cameras of C-SPAN for its revealing two-year series of profiles on the nation's first ladies.

If Jeb is in the primaries for some reason, this is a great picture and event to hammer him with. Can say he must agree with Hillary that Benghazi doesn’t matter. A smart conservative republican could ruin him with this.

Jeb Bush awarding Hillary Clinton the Liberty medal last September exactly one year after Benghazi....

Please remind us of this periodically if any of us should ever be tempted to support Jeb.

I’m beginning to think there is more here than just “charming Billy”.

I’m beginning to believe there is a level of intertwined corruption on a level most people couldn’t even imagine.

Bushes cover for Clinton, Clinton covers for Bushes.

Say it with a cigar and I’ll settle for it as fact.

I think she is senile.

She is in her late 80’s so that would not be surprising. Most of what she says is awful. However, she does agree with the “stay out of the Bushes” which is great.

I don’t recall Barbara Bush saying the same thing,

That would be yukky if she did. He was older than her by a lot. He would have been more of a Father figure than a son. So glad she refrained from calling Reagan her son.

She's no fan of Sarah Palin. Giving an interview to Larry King in Nov. 2010, when asked bout Gov. Palin, Barbara said, "I sat next to her once, thought she was beautiful and I think she's very happy in Alaska — and I hope she'll stay there."

During the same interview when commenting on the Tea Party, George said, "they're all right" and some of their ideas make sense, but he's a bit confused by what the Tea Party really is or how members fit in "to get Republicans in Congress to do something."

Barbara Bush made a big deal on GHBush’s inauguration day in 1989 of making fun of first ladies wearing expensive jewelry, fancy clothes, etc. and she was NOT talking about Jackie Kennedy. The press picked up on it right away, they knew exactly whom she was disparaging. I made no reference to Reagan being “their son” (Thank God, NO) but they cold at least say a word of appreciation for the man who was OUR president and who but for him they would be political nothings. They never hesitate to praise Obama, Bill or Hillary Clinton - when is the last time you heard a positive word from the Bush clan about the Reagans, Ted Cruz or Sarah Palin??

I am very curious as to what his rational was for this

I looked up the liberty medal:

WHAT IS THE LIBERTY MEDAL?
The Liberty Medal is awarded annually by the National Constitution Center to men and women of courage and conviction who have strived to secure the blessings of liberty to people the world over. The Medal’s roster of recipients includes many of the men, women, and organizations that have shaped and guided the world through the past two decades, including Nelson Mandela, Sandra Day O’Connor, Kofi Annan, Shimon Peres, and Colin Powel

So it’s an award for those who “strived to secure the blessings of liberty to people”

So according to Jeb Bush Al-Qaeda murdering a US Ambassador, a US diplomat and 2 Navy seals is his idea of “liberty”? But even putting that aside, just the fact of Hillary being a big government Marxist would be enough to nix the idea that she has any interest whatsoever in “securing the blessings of liberty to people”. This guy is completely and utterly out of his mind.

The first thing Barbara Bush did when her old man was no longer president was to get on Larry King and tell him she was pro-abortion.

The first thing Laura Bush did when her old man was no longer president was to get on Larry King and tell him she was pro-abortion and pro homosexual “marriage”.

The first secretary of Planned Parenthood was grandpa
Prescott Bush. The Bushes are your typical New England RINOs that socially are as liberal as any democrat. Ronald Reagan was hestitate about choosing George HW Bush as his running mate because Bush was pro-abortion. Reagan told him he had to tone it down a little bit so Bush started saying he was “pro-life”, but believed in abortion in cases of rape, incest and life of the mother. That has been the typical RINO stance ever since Bush came out with “exceptions” to murder.

Its OK to come out Bar. Your husband was one of the first to say we needed a New World Order. Its not like we didn’t get a clue when Dubya was in office. There’s not one degree of separation between you and the Clintoons. Why wouldn’t you love Billy Jerff?
