On MSNBCs Morning Joe early today, the panel discussed the growing controversy over the accuracy and truthfulness of claims made by Texas Gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis. The segment has a scare chyron across the bottom of the screen that laments GUBERNATORIAL RACE GETS UGLY EARLY. Oh fret and bother.
Mika Brzezinski tells us that Republicans have pounced on the discrepancies, and then first tosses to NBC News political reporter Kasie Hunt, who immediately brings up what is sure to be the talking point of the week, the basic narrative. The basic narrative is correct, you see, even if the details were wrong.
This NBC political reporter spends the remainder of the segment blatantly campaigning for Davis, bringing up the basic narrative narrative a second time less than two minutes later. Some of the details are not quite right, she says. But the basic narrative is true.
Donny Deutsch and Willie Geist are also quick to pounce on this defense, and Mika takes the cake when she says so she just exaggerated with a tone of voice that makes it clear that exaggerating is no big deal and everyone should just shut up and vote for Wendy immediately. Which is pretty well in keeping with MSNBCs position on the matter to date.

She will leverage her considerable experience on Capitol Hill and the campaign trail to contribute editorially across the networks many platforms.
Hunt comes to NBC News from the Associated Press, where she has served as a national political reporter since August 2011. As one of the organizations lead campaign trail reporters, Hunt covered the Republican primary field and nominee Mitt Romney, eventually following the Romney campaign nearly full time from December 2011 through election day.
Prior to joining the AP, Hunt covered the 2010 mid-term elections and the emerging GOP presidential primary race as a national political reporter for POLITICO. Earlier, she covered health care, education, and labor policy for National Journals CongressDaily, where she closely followed the Affordable Care Act from inception to passage. She began her journalism career as an intern with the NBC News political unit.
Hunt has appeared regularly on numerous television programs, including MSNBCs The Daily Rundown with Chuck Todd, NOW with Alex Wagner, and Hardball with Chris Matthews, as well as NBCs The Chris Matthews Show.
Hunt is a graduate of George Washington University and holds a masters degree in sociology from the University of Cambridge, where she was a member of St Johns College.
Irrelevant, no one watches MSNBC except nut case liberals.
Kasie Hunt isn’t with MSNBC. She works for NBC News and presents herself as an objective reporter. This is a tweet she fired off less than a half-hour into Senator Ted Cruz’s Tuesday afternoon filibuster of ObamaCare.
This is not reporting, it is a snarky, non-sequitur, cheap shot you would expect to be written by someone at the Daily Kos.

Ann explains it all in her inimitable way:http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3114556/posts
Hey -- maybe Jeff Davis should run for governor! He's the one who raised two kids, including a stepdaughter, while holding down a job and paying for his wife's law school. There's a hard-luck story!
Half their audience seems to be conservatives looking for something to get angry about.
Or it seems that way given the intense coverage our side gives them.
She’s a step UP from Krystal Ball..
If Rick Harrison couldn’t put it on the shelf at his pawn shop, why should anyone put it in the Governor’s Mansion?
Is that her real name, or was she a stripper before she got the gig at MSLSD?
That’s her real name..just Google her...
Jeff Davis was already president, why take a step back.
What’s the frequency, Kenneth?
