A Texas hospital has agreed to remove a pregnant and brain-dead woman from a ventilator, after a wrenching court fight about who is alive, who is dead and how the presence of a fetus changes the equation.
Sunday's announcement came two days after a judge in Fort Worth ordered John Peter Smith Hospital to remove any artificial means of life support from Marlise Munoz, as her family had asked. The hospital had said it was following a state law that requires hospitals to maintain life-sustaining treatment for a pregnant patient.

No, everyone thinks it is a sad situation.
It certainly doesn’t please me how could you even think it did? At least the family can now get on with mourning this terrible loss. They have been hanging by a thread since late Nov. Its over now and they can mourn in private.
Have you ever mourned for a lost child? I have and it is the worst thing in the world, to have to do it in the public eye would make it even worse.

I didn’t realize you know the family....if so, perhaps you know why the baby is never mentioned? Except for a comment from EM when this 1st went public and the press release from the lawyers on EMs behalf about how “deformed” they claim the baby is...was...

How is it gossip to point out facts and then a conclusion
There is the perception that because the mother was breathing that she could be fed with a tube and all would be ok.
Unstated and unknown is what body systems (the body is a collection of organs, systems and subsystems) were shut down. The mother’s blood is a carrier for all sorts of hormones and chemicals very specifically female and intended to provide very specialized nourishment beyond just calories to the developing child.
When the mother is dead, the systems don’t function and the child development succombs

Because your facts don’t support your conclusion, and in fact you have provided no evidence to support your conclusion.
Also, your conclusion is illogical. If Mr. Munoz had somehow caused the pulmonary embolism that killed Mrs. Munoz, why would he then have performed CPR on her? He found her in the middle of the night - if he wanted her dead, he could have easily “found” her couple of hours later, when CPR would have been entirely futile, and she would never have been placed on life support to begin with.
Jesus would have compassion on a family forced to make a terrible decision with no good answers. I’m sure He is proud of your self righteousness though. I’m disgusted with people like you who give the pro life movement and Christians a bad name. I hope you never have to deal with a situation like this, because I wouldnt wish it even on you.

If trying to keep all unborn babies alive and away from animals like Obama, then I'll proudly be PROLIFE. Sorry that you feel that unborn children are such a problem. I can't find anything Christian about murdering an unborn child. I'm sure you can.

then the hospital discovered she was pregnant so they had to due to the law..
but there’s nothing about him telling the hospital she was pregnant..
and yet he must have known the law..
he was such an “expert” in all things medical...
she would never have been placed on life support to begin with.

I’ve read some articles thathe found her in the living room floor and one in Star-Telegram that says he found her in kitchen floor? (that same article says he punched a hole in the wall, not sure if before he called 9-1-1 or not?)
