The Egyptians do understand that our current leadership is contrary to the history of our nation and against the will of We the People.

I disagree with the inclusion of George W Bush in the context of the article. But agree with the rest of the description it contains.

Obastard won’t be happy until he turns the US into another t world country, just to be “fair”.

Yes, it clearly was his intent from the beginning.

I would argue that Egypt is still an American ally but not an Obama ally.

Obama is but a fart in the wind and will pass.

Bush did make the mistake of trying to coerce Mubarak with respect to having him hold so-called “free and fair” elections back in 2005.

Egypt was moving in the radical direction anyway. These guys were not all MB, remember.

And he's had PLENTY of help. Plenty of help.

It seems we have a lot to learn from the Egyptians these days.

I agree with much of what is stated but I also am apprehensive, too.

It is wrong that the Muslim Brotherhood was supported and I am glad that the Egyptian people were able to throw them off.

I see at the top where it seems to be suggesting overthrowing our government and at the bottom support for Carter.

I couldn’t live under the Egyptians new constitution, it isn’t my idea of freedom but it is what they wanted—so be it.

I want to restrain our government but I don’t wish to overthrow it and most probably end up with a new Constitution.

Good luck Egypt and I hope all goes well for you and that our government stays out of your business but no, I don’t want what you have.

Yes, but the MB did clearly bring them to the edge of national destruction under Morsi. Morsi was a puppet though. And some of the puppet masters were Obama & supporters.

Obama’s no puppet master. More like another puppet.

EVERYTHING obama does either:
a) Weakens America
b) Distances America's allies
c) Strengthens America's enemies
d) Serves Islam
e) Harms Israel
Or some combination of the above.
I have yet to have anyone raise a single substantive counter example in several years of posting this.

(Although AJFavish did point out that I missed "increases dependency on the government")

No, not yet, I don’t think so. The rule of law is being ignored though. I think we can work hard and save it but it will be a long uphill battle.

The top quote was from Lincoln. It was what he said. I did not read it as a call to overthrow our government, but an alarm bell the the citizens of the US understands what is happening now cannot be continued.

As far as Carter is concerned, I doubt those outside the US truly understand what a disaster he was. But Obozo is much worse. The part of Carter's quote that states we should not be the world's policeman is correct.

As far as our government is concerned, there is nothing wrong with our existing constitution. It is the judicial interpretations and the out of control bureaucracy of DC that is the problem. It is TIME to DownSize DC!

I agree, I would not like to live under the new Egyptian Constitution either. But it is much better than what preceeded it. The problem with personal liberty under a Muslim state is irreconcilable.

He acts in the interest of those who put him in power. He represents their interest. In that capacity he was an active participant in the installation of Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorists in power over Egypt.

For that the Egyptians should be very angry. And they are.
